So I just recently started playing LoN, and really enjoy it.

I need more cards though. My decks are a mess.

I have piles of unused plat sitting around, so I wanted to buy a box or 2 with it. I'd probably avoid paying actual money for one.

So what are the steps to do this safely? I don't want to lose my 170 plat or whatever I end up buying one for. Are there any protections to them just walking away with it?

You can't do a LoN trade for anything other than LoN cards, however you can set up a trade to trade cards with a user, and get no cards back in return. Of course, you get a warning about this on screen.

The person trading the cards / box needs to set up a LoN Trade containing the stuff they want to trade and only offer it to the LoN user-id of the toon they want to trade with, there's a tick box for this at the bottom of the LoN Trade screen.

Meet up with the user in game and set up a parallel trade for plat.

Trade cards / plat, in which ever order you're comfortable with.

And you're done.

It is definitely a trust issue. I buy boosters and sell them for plat and haven't had any problems thus far.

If it's a trust thing, I'd suggest starting slow, or doing it in intervals. IE a box has like over 30 boosters right? Trade for 5 at a time, and some plat at a time. This way, if you get screwed, you only get screwed a little.

I like to get screwed ALOT! Alas since I play this game it doesn't happen all that often. Only when my mom goes out of town and I actually leave the basement.
