Now is the part of the thread where I get to list off all the useful items from LoN where should I start?

Bottled breath - 100% heal

Bottled intellect - 20% power + regen

Housing licence - free 5 bedroom house rent free

Mounts - Fastest currently is 60%

Void portal - lets you port to your grp 1/day

Evac potions - before they were fixed you could use them to evac in combat in PvP

Food and drink carts - free food and drink

Legendary T8 stats ring - can choose 1 of 3 for stats + effect that fit your class

Cloaks - most all have featherfall effect + other various effects anything from waterbreathing to 5% boost to a stat for 12 secs every 3 mins to free gear repair to run speed buff to illusions etc ..

Rings - that give exp boosts to either tradeskilling or adventure exp.

Bot made ice cream cart - this can be used to buy signets on raids .. anything you sell to the bot can be rebought while out in a dungeon. It allows you to circumvent the LORE feature with signets that only allows you to carry one.

Tons of visual appearance character and housing items ..

There is more I am forgetting..... point is ... people buy this stuff cause it is useful or in some way appeals to them.

Making the stuff useless and unappealing just turns LoN into even more of a SCAM.

People ... not just me.... won't buy it.

Most of this crap affects gameplay in little more than convenience factor. None of it really has any impact on your ability to defeat an encounter. ZOMG! Free house! /wank

I tend to agree .. most yes.

But ... pre Venril Sathir nerf ... I used bottled intellect to help manage my power during that fight along with several other in-game obtainable items.. I also had power potions, signets, and even the power root from the carnivorous house plant (retail purchase of Kingdom of Sky).

Bottled intellect and bottled breath were some of the first loot cards from LoN and I think they were the source of much crying. The first ones for EQ1 were similar in scope of usefulness which also caused many EQ1 players to complain.

Had these people not cried ... would we be seeing stuff like this offered up on the marketplace today? I have to wonder ....

Those 2 potions were absolutely the most useful in terms of actually affecting gameplay, but even so their impact is minimal at best. Nothing from LoN has ever been needed to beat any raid, and really it's all just fluff and convenience, with a touch of "Cool!".

Let me ask you this .. If these things are in fact so useless why are they not being offered up on marketplace for say ... 10 $?
