A paladin enters the Hall of Alliances, his cloak swirling in the winds the open doors let in. A gust of cold before the hearths take to work and warm the room again. He centers himself in the middle of the hall. And begins to speak:

Good day Norrathians, Good hearted and Wicked alike. I come to you today with a suggestion. A proposition, so to speak, of peace. We have our differences.. But as Norrath is faced with greater threats we must RISE to face that threat! The rediscovery of Kunark showed us enemies we have never fought before, and we must rise stronger in order to defeat them. Arcane rogues of long times past, and vampire kings STILL live and breathe in their castles, and we must rise stronger to defeat them. Do you think Mayong Mistmoore cares who you say your allegiance to? Venril Sathir? Veeshan herself? They do not care if you're freeportian, Qeynosian, have scales, tails, swords or fists. Which is why we must unite to face it.

To prove the point.. Sanguine was created. By a blood brother bond you will never imagine. A Shadowknight, a Paladin and a Warden that met raiding dragons for dragonlord Nagafen, and delving deeper in the raids through the Labs of Lord Vyemm and the Lyceum of Abhorrence, joined together to form Sanguine, and vowed that it would one day bring destruction to our common enemies. I would ask each and every one of you, of the 70th circle of training or higher, to join in our cause. Sanguine stands for our mortality, the blood pumping through our veins. And if Sanguine has it her way, it stays that way.

The level 12 illu is an Apprentice, not in Raid lead.

Basically, he helped forming the guild, and we do let -70s in the guild(though not in preferred) in order to let them learn about raiding, and maybe grow into good raiders when they reach the higher tiers.

Sanguine code about this is:

As long as you're under level 70 you will never go above the rank of apprentice, and you are encouraged to pick up every chance to join raids and learn what your role is in them. Once you have reached level 70 you can apply to join our Mercenaries(The rank above Apprentice, mercenaries are not our main raid force but used as backups if needed).

We added this feature because we realised the number of actual good raiders are slim, and most have already found great guilds in Strike, F U R Y, Transcendence and the such. So in order to find untapped potential we will "scout" for new talents this way

Now.. Is this a sad and hopeless plan in your opinions? I thought it had some merit, but I'm a little biased.

First off, let me wish you good luck in your venture. I think it depends on the player base. The number of "up-incoming" or "new" players who don't already have level 80 characters is a key factor for you. I realize I transfered to LDL after attaining level 80, but there's a noticable low server population that may be difficult to overcome.

My only advice to you guys is to start out small.. dont put too much weight on your raiders until they feel comfortable. Try some t7 raid zones, and the move into RoK.. The t7 set gear is also still very good gear to transition over to RoK.
