I don't care too much if someone bad-mouths me in /say or /tell, but it really bothers me if they do it in public channels with false information. That's my issue here. That bothers me because my friends and family may have trouble getting groups from stuff like that.
But if something is
contested (that's the key word here, folks), then it's gonna be fair game to anyone in the zone. I really don't care how close you were standing to the mob when we arrived, that doesn't make it yours. Now, we will NOT try to snatch up mobs that we know are for quest credit; we don't dig griefing. But if the mob is only for loot, you can expect someone to compete with you for it (and I'm not just talking about us competing; many, many people on the server feel that way about contested mobs too). You can't steal something that wasn't yours to begin with.
And yes, we've killed lots of named mobs in lots of zones, mainly because several of us have older characters that have trouble getting AA experience. So we've often gone out to hunt some named for AA credit in overworld zones and dungeons. But like I said, we are not RMT (real-money trading) farmers, and we do not ninja-loot from pickup groups. That's what we were accused of doing, and that's what I wanted to clarify.
