in other news, yea 3.3% double attack over 2 melee crit any day. think about it like this, an avg raid auto attack on a monk with say SoD does what, 1500ish? prolly higher. 1500+ crit = 30%ish more dmg (since im posting late at night and forgot the crit % boost o_O). a double attack = 100% damage boost AND both hits still have a 40% chance to crit (my crit in raid), you would need like 4 melee crit to out do 1 double attack in lab testing. dont forget this isnt taking into account CA criting which isnt affected by DA at all, so the math is flawed the way i put it out, im just giving a basis for comparison. since auto attack is 65% of my zonewide though, double attack is gonna play into that a lot more than a bit of crit would on my CAs, which make up like 15-20, with procs making up the rest

3.3% DA or 2% critical is better depends on your weapons and group buff.

Assuming you have 5% DA, 40% critical with dps suit and with dirge buff, you did 1500 dps from auto attack and 900 from non melee damages.

Assuming that critical hit gives you average 1.5 times dps than non critical in auto attack,
we can get your dps of auto attack is 1250 with 5% double attack.

We can get your dps without 5% DA is 1190.

Now, 3.3% DA gives you 39 dps, considering 40% critical you have, your total gain from 3.3% DA is 46.8 dps.

Lets see how much dps you can get from 2% critical hit.

1250*0.02*1.5 = 37.5 dps is what you get from auto attack.

900*0.02*1.3 = 23.4.

The total dps you get from extra 2% is 60.9. It's better than 3.3% DA.

I dunno...I still use relic pants for dps. /shrug...The dmg increaser on PC is a sure thing.

Leggings of the Master are definitely overrated DPS-wise, but are a good dual purpose piece for sure.

Our set pants are good for HP, absolutely nothing else.
