When I am duel wielding weapons my monk will attack twice with each weapon, but when I go bare handed I only get one attack.

In my Persona it sais that I have a dmg range and speed for both my primary and secondary, but does not attack twice.

Can someone clear this up for me.

I have this thread in the noobie section as well, but no one there, so I figured posting it here might get me the answer faster. I'll delete the thread after I find out my problem and then just update the other one.

Did you pick up STR line on brawler achievements? Relentless Punches will give you double attack then fighting bare armed.

The way that fists work, is as a normal 2-handed weapon of your current tier (level 76 monk using no weapons, would be about the equivalent of using a normal level 70 2-handed staff). As weird as it is, you are not "dual wielding" as if you were using both fists. I guess you could picture yourself using one arm to hold up the other, while you punch with one fist, lol.

Anyways, the strength AA line gives you double attack, so it's the equivalent of double attacking with a 2-handed weapon.

At least, this is how it worked about a year or so ago, though I don't think they've changed anything with it's mechanics.

I find it weird though that your persona window is giving you damage for "two" weapons, are you sure that's not a mistake? It could also just be a mistake on SoEs part /boggle

I logged my Inquisitor and he showed the same thing in the persona window.

That is pretty lame you have to put 8 points in one part just to make fists effective.

What's lame, is the strength line in general. And that currently we'll be the only class that can't use the Epic weapon with a certain AA line.

The STR line does suck atm, but I'm just as scared that they'll come in and change it... and totally fuck up our Brawler tree entirely. I really like our AA's atm, and I like that it's fairly easy to get a good combination of AA's. I'd rather have too few really good choices, than too many mediocre choices.

Hmm, all I have to say is wait until you get to 80, with 120 AAs, and some good weapons. You'll realize that the amount of "options" we have in our AAs is extremely limited due to the strength line being useless by then.

And they did previously try to change the strength line, but it never left the test server because it was incredibly shitty, and all the monks complained about it with suggestions on how to make it better. Instead, SoE reverted it back to how it was originally, and never looked back, just ignoring the problem =/
