so its been a month, time to discuss how much ass peel kicks

both in groups and in raids. its 100% agro lock the second you cast it on a mob reguardless of if you are at the top of the hate list or not (yay 1 min 20s duration peel w/+ hate ticks), so on say a fight which memwipes a lot or requires minimal dps at times (drusela comes to mind) you will still have a lock. in raids it kicks ass if tsunami is up and the MT drops. 12 seconds is more than long enough for you to hold a mob with tsunami while the mt gets a no effect rez and buffs fast, then so long as you werent at the top of the hate list you hit it and you drop it off onto an awating plate tank so you dont get splattered. i must have used this 20 times to save a wipe today learning encounters in such a manner. its fucking amazing bar none. also really funny to piss off a paladin if they have amends on you

It's funny when I first posted about Peel everyone thought it was crap. I tried to explain just how great this skill was but not one listen (ok a few did).

I used this in beta vs the Pawbuster. For 1min 30sec I locked that mob on me then FD doesn't stop the mob from targeting you (unless thats change since beta).

Peel isn't that good. Thus it doesn't need to be nerfed again.

Daddy likes the peel. I like popping peel then stun stance, just so stun stance gets used. It took 3+ years, but it finally has a use.

Most mobs are easy enough to hold aggro on anyway, so its really only situationally overpowered. Plus the monk still has to survive the aggro they have, so its not like an "I win" button or anything. Guards are plenty overpowered themselves anyway, its about time monks got an edge somewhere.... And lastly, it shouldnt be nerfed is because the expansion is already live and I've already payed out a lot of money for the master.

In the hands of a plate tank this would be way over powered but the fact that surviving as a Monk is the challenge not holding aggro.

If it was so over powered why don't all the raids have Monks as main tanks? The only raid mob I have ever tanked is the Virulent Corpuscle in DT and that was only cause the other plate head wasn't in vent and no one wanted to type out everything he needed to do.

BTW at L76 I only took 16% of his hits.
