Theres a Paladin in our guild who has told me quite a few times that an all Paladin raid has taken down an avatar on AB, and its got me thinking, if they can why not us?

Sometime today it was brought up in WW chat and its pretty obvious how youd do it.

Rescue -> Tsunami -> mit vs Physical stance maybe the magic one aswell and then FD, next monk in the raid repeats and it goes through all 24 monks till it gets back to the first, if its done well and all AA's are right then he should beable to just go again, maybe not rescue but if it needs be all monks could just FD except for the one with tsunami

maybe if your recast is high theres just one group that tosses it back and forth while the rest concentrate on dps and healing.

It was also suggested that a spot should be given for one healer, for rez's, which wouldnt make it an all monks raid, but would still be fairly cool.

So does anyone have any other ideas? does anyone think they could get 23 other monks together and do a raid zone, or even go the full mile and try a contested mob, should we try 12 monks and 12 bruisers for an all brawlers raid, what do you think?

No it wasn't on AB that I know of, it was on the test server and it was in LoA iirc, but definitely not a contested.

As for an all Monk raid, yeah I could see it being possible in LoA like the Paladin one was done in.

I can actually see this working even on certain contested if done correctly. With Rescue, Peel, Tsunami, Heal, both Physical Mit AAs, fd, and good gear this could work. Hey I say we try it!!! Count me in especially if free server transfers come back!!!

Or maybe we could all create monks on a specific server and level them to 80 haha.

rofl wouldnt it be nice if SOE gave us this as a small christmas present, or we all had a dev in our guilds :P

getting to 80 wouldnt be so hard if there were actually 24 people willing to roll a monk and group together just to run through it all, just a problem with time zones, people actually caring enough to go that far, and having enough time to do it.

Id suggest Najena cause im lazy but if there were more people interested id do it, heck even if we just all got to 55 for tsunami then did one of the 2x raid zones would still be fun.

The only thing this would work on is a pathetic normally easily two group-able KoS or CMF raid or PHH/Hurricanus.

After that you will run into power issues, rez needs and AE avoidance problems.

If you could coordinate Peel+Tsunami & heal rotation correctly I could see this working well. Maybe not an Avatar but not two groupable targets like pagan suggests.

Or you could maybe throw a dirge in each group and maybe 1 healer for the raid. Would kind of take the fun out of the all monk raid but still an idea. But seriously I am down to do this, pick a server and let's all make monk alts and pick a date down the line to be let's say 55 lol. This could kind of be like Calibyum starting the t5 raiding guild. First we have to decide on the server (I don't care which as long as it's not pvp or station exchange). Someone make a poll!!!!!

Once we pick the server we need someone to be the leader of and organize this whole thing. Maybe make a post in the recuitment section. I think this idea is golden, I haven't been this excited in EQ2 for a long time haha! So who will be our fearless monk leader?

Well I went to make a poll and it was revealed how noob I am when I couldnt figure it out, may have been the sleepyness.

Also vagina monsters scare the heck out of me but id be happy to lead, unless someone else wanted to then its rock paper sissors time!
