AA builds in RoK
Ok, there are a number of threads in this forum regarding AAs for doing DPS. My question is what would be a good setup for Tanking? I am almost lvl 80 with about 130 AA, and working on getting my AA storage device, so that I can have 2 builds.

KOS Tree

44862 INT
EOF Tree
5 in Horse Kick
5 in Rising Pheonix
5 in Rising Dragon
3 in Sprint
Both cures
5 in Heal
5 in Tsunami
5 in Outward Calm
5 in Five Rings
5 in Silencing Palm
3 in Morning Star
Combination
Superior Riposte
1 in Tranquil Vision
3 in Velium Palm
5 in single taunt
3 in Biting Cobra
3 in Talon
137aa at the moment.
I have 136 , plan to put 2 more in horse kick to max it out. 1 in tranquil and probably some random one. Didnt get Combination and only put 5 points in Five Rings. Only CA we have that does a large percentage of our dps besides our big kick which i have 5 points in anyways.

Now that monks have peel , I maxed stun stance. I got combination and never used it. When i did it wasn't worth it.

Re: AA builds in RoK
i heard some hearsay that evade check is raidwide, is that right? it just says allies in the description. here's my setup. keep in my i group 90 percent of the time and only occasionally do pickup raids. 132 aa currently.
4881 agi
48821 wis
44861 int
horse kick 5
rising phoenixe 5
rising dragon 5
body like mountain 5
heal 2
will of the wise 1
morningstar 5
five rings 5
stifling palm 5
combination
storming hydra 5
tranquil vision 5
infuration 2
velium palm 3
biting cobra 3
valium talon 3
mongoose stance 1
last 8 i'm going to put 3 in infuration, 3 into the trauma cure, and 2 into tsunami, then re-evalute. probably change a few more things around. only been playing a monk for about 3 months and this is my first melee class, so i'm learning. any suggestions for a monk that mainly just groups?

Re: AA builds in RoK
and summona, what i did was make macros for valium palm, morning star, and horse kick where it follows them with combination. only thing that sucks about that is that you can't queue a macro, but i'm used to just banging them now.

Re: AA builds in RoK
For KoS(I'm a bruiser for a note) i tank with:
4-7-8 AGI
4-5-8-8-2 Wis
4-4-8-7 INT
This was originally a test build to see how Baton Flurry would do with some extra points, but now its just become my usual build. BF does more damage than most of my other combat arts(even at master or AD3) and really the last part of INT is worthless for tanking but its awesome for soloing. Slipping into the 30% range for eagle shriek is something you REALLY dont want to do, and if you do your either going to get fried in 1 more shot or your healers are going to bust some ass to save you. Mobs are hitting to hard to play around with it.

Re: AA builds in RoK
i'm curious why everyone only puts 7 points into baton flurry. is there no real gain from maxing it out? also about the max health. i see most people put 8 there, but these are all raid specs, is it not that big a deal as far as grouping goes and really just there for taking the big hits in raids?

Re: AA builds in RoK
They are going for more damage on baton flurry.
TBH there is no real point in more than 4 points into it as is, other than for that extra damage.
