Hi,
I'm wondering what would be better, adding a +12 Crushing DAMAGE OR +12 Crushing to a weapon?

I think adding the "pure" crushing would let me hit easier (higher attack rating) and damage just adds 12 Crushing damage to my hits, or?

You mean, +12 crushing (+6 per adornment) or +28 crushing damage (+14 per adornment) I assume.

I imagine the choice depends on the level of mobs you're fighting frequently.

Why I wrote 12 was to have an even number to compare against... Well, I solo alot doing quests and most mobs tend to be blue/yellow (questing and raiding).

Go with the +skill, with a higher skill, you have a higher hit rate and all that BS, overall it's better.

ok so i'm using the soulfire kama and ryjesium forged knuckles. knuckles are slashing... soulfire is a crushing weapon that does slashing damage? is +slashing going to up to hit rates on both of them or just the knuckles?

Just the knuckles. I would go with vampiric or phantom procs.

I second what Trumak said. The vampiric is acutally the highest damage proc and you get a heal from it too. For soloing, + to hit is not going to make a huge difference. The + crushing damage adornment actually adds less damage than the vampiric (legendary) or the flame or poison dots (treasured).
I tend to think the damage proc (or power proc if you need it) is better even for raiding, although that can be encounter/group specific based on how much you miss.

yeah i've got vampiric on all my weapons, i was just curious about the +crushing stat that is on so much brawler gear.

Or.... sacrifice the 5% double attack, grab the Razor Gauntlets out of storage or try to get some to drop for you and adorn both the Ryjesium and the Razor Gauntlets with +% riposte.
