I'm going to assume you betrayed for the peel. In the monk line you will want to first upgrade as many points as you can into Spirit Like Mountain, Mountain Stance, Tsunami, and your Heal. These are the survival skills you need to employ while the healers do their best to keep you up. I suggest throwing Tsunami and Peel on a macro with a Loud message to the raid as well letting everyone know you're about to go suicidal.
If you want added bonus survival skill, you can work towards getting Superior Parry, an extra quick buff that will save you from any type of damage for one hit. Quick casting, easy to throw on while you are casting something longer. You need to put your points in the Body line to get that one open.
