Default My walkthrough of the Epic Questline

Sorry about the delay, I was awaiting editing rights.

FOR STARTER:

-Finish the SoS collection quest, "The Teachings of Wu". The collection quest MUST be completed for the quest.
-Finish the quest line from Master Kayu at the Monk camp behind the Butcherblock zone in from Lesser fay, and get a book, with "Journal of Wu, Seeker of Enlightenment" as the final reward after the 3 quests. This is a piece of piss and takes 10 minutes. [LINK]

PRE REQUIREMENTS:
-Have Sathirian Language completed [LINK]
-Draconian Language [LINK]
-Complete Trial of Tynnonium to have faction with Grandmaster in Kunzar Jungle. [LINK]
-Have Kunzar Jungle Villager faction at indifferent, -6000 atleast.

BEGIN THE EPIC:
-Talk to Master Makoto Shoda at Omen's Call in Fens of Nathsar. He roams the shores, all the way up. He will give you a quest called "The Broken Hand". This is our epic quest. You will only be able to get the quest from him if you have both of those books on you.

Steps
-Visit "Chronicler Lao" at T'Narev in Pillars of Flame. He's apparently at the back, at 35, -56, -1185 . (Ashen Order camp)

-Go to 1175, -99, -1170 and kill a mob 83^ with 3 adds (arrow down). Don't FD them off / they despawn quickly. They stun you alot, so maybe bring some help / use your uber monk skills.
Used tsunami and craneflock, the lot of em died in seconds. Not hard.

-Return to Chronicler Lao in Pillars of Flame.

-Return to Master Makoto Shoda.

-Now you are required to get some blades.
Blade of Balance:
This blade requires you to get 57 hearts off Drakes, Wyverns and Wurms in the area around Veeshan's Peak, near -907, 244, 766, Quest given by Flink The Impish. This must be exactly 57 hearts, if anymore or any less, you get additional groups of mobs. When handed in, you must fight an 81^. Easy. Take the blade.

Blade of Peace:
This blade requires you to talk to a firesprite outside Sol Eye in Lavastorm. Go behind the entrance, (Run past the zone in and to the very end, it hovers over the lava close to the edge.)
-268.42,83.39,-45.80 <-- Firesprite.
To spawn the Firesprite / Named, you are required to have Kaiaren's Scroll from a Gravesite in Kunzar Jungle. 427, 10, -362, In a cave behind a waterfall. The cave entrance is here... 376, 7, -276
Once spawned, you must fight a named called Eejag, an 85^^^ Heroic. Much easier to kill than the Grandmaster. Get the blade for killing him.

Blade of Order:
This is the Blade that requires you to have completed the Trial of Tynnonium questline, so that you have enough faction to talk to the Grandmaster. Once completed the line, talk to Kindo Youngfist at -106, -84, 295. He tells you that you can fight the Grandmaster for the blade, (As the grandmaster will not give you it). You return to the Grandmaster and he accepts the trial. Fight him in the ring (bring a group, he's tough.) 85^^^ Heroic. He also has the chance to split into 2 other people, making the encounter much harder. I found this happened when I was ported around by him. Just try to burn him and control it. Kill him to get the blade.

Blade of Harmony:
This is a rather simple one. Clear SOF the same way you would if you were doing it normally, then drop your group before you engage Terror. Tsunami / Outward calm and pull Terror. If you're lucky he'll charm you on inc and reset, and the Monk will have triggered from your engaging. FD when your Charm ends, but ensure you engage him, don't just body pull. The encounters are not Social afaik, just pull Terror first to the bottom of the temple, and so forth. Kill the monk to get the blade.

Blade of Tranquility:
Another slightly difficult one, and one that will require a group. Enter Sebilis and jump off the middle ring in the center of the zone when you leave the entrance. (Jump down between the forward and right-hand exits, and into the swim through the alcove, and downwards.) One of the jails are openable. 71,-131,102
The NPC doesn't show it's face until you enter the room. I pussied it and Tsunami'ed into the jail and flopped my face right on the floor, and there he was. Once you have the quest, you must kill Level 80+ iksars in Sebilis, for uncommon body-drops of Bone Trinkets. You require 20 of these. If you follow the underwater tunnels and come out in the other Jail area, clear that area with the Legionnaires. I was done there within 2 hours, and they are duoable with one healer. (I'm fully fabled however, so bring backup if you wish.)
Once you have all 20 trinkets, you are required to bury them. Head to Elddar Grove and bury them at 727, -19, -406 beneath a tree.
Return to the quest giver in the Seb Jail. He'll then say he has placed the blade behind a stone. If you face inwards from the Jailcell door, so you're looking at the wall, then look in the BOTTOM LEFT CORNER you'll find the blade.

Return to Master Makoto Shoda in Fens with all 5 blades and he tells you about sorting the next step of the quest. You need to get information about how to reassemble the hand.

Head to Maidens in Jarsath Wastes (Instance)
Harvest pages :
Page 7 - Drusella (chest),
Page 5 - the Impaler (chest),
Page 3 - the Hallowed Hall (ground),
Page 4 - bottom of retractable bridge chamber (ground)

Head to Vaults in Jarsath Wastes (Instance)
Harvest pages :
Page 1 - Golem's mini event room (ground),
Page 2 - bottom of the pit outside the Praetor's chamber (ground),
Page 6 - the Praetor (body loot)

Once you have completed the collection quest, hand it in and you'll be given a level 1 or 2 recipe. Scribe the recipe, and prepare to harvest / spend some plats.

The combine is trivial, but ensure that you do it well, as the combine allows 2 charges. The requirements of the recipe are:

  1. 3 tynnonium clusters
  2. 1 rough fire emerald
  3. 20 ferrite clusters
  4. 20 deklium clusters
  5. 10 smoldering coal
Make the 'Diagram' at a Workbench (Alchemist's), then return to Master Makoto Shoda.

Congratulations on your epic!
Completion of this quest starts you on...

'The Mended Hand'.
Head to -276, 150, -1123 , a rock formation up a cliff behind the City of Mist. Stand meditating there until the quest update. (You'll know when it happens, a blue light flashes down on you.)

Basically, go kill...(In this order)

Pawbuster
Venril Sathir
Phara Dar's Shade

Then return to Master Makoto Shoda, and get your mythical. Congratulations!

Default Re: My walkthrough of the Epic Questline (Sticky this cos' Fax's one sucks)

After waiting all day, I failed to get LFG to give me editing rights. /afk?

Use EQ2i's version suggested by Taucher.

The Broken Hand - EQ2i

More often updated than my thread would be anyway.

Edit rights added to first post. Class Leaders can give them also, I don't recall getting a PM from you though.

You forgot to say you need Draconic language completed for Blade of Balance too.
