Default Re: Stickying AA Specs etc

I've noticed that all of the monk AA advice (not just here, but in-game) focuses on the base brawler lines-- STR, WIS, INT, etc-- and never on the monk-specific tree. Are the monk-specific lines considered not as good?

I'm 36 and have just finished the STR line, and the kick upgrades were looking good. I mostly solo, and when in groups I'm DPS.

(Also, I actually went 4-8-8-8-2 in STR. Since the only advice I ever got was "go STR until 70!", I assumed that's what people meant, but reading this thread I guess not. Oh well, can't hurt, and that 5% riposte is nice for soloing).

I posted my monk tree set up. The deaggro stance is not necessarily applicable only if you have aggro issues when not tanking.

I've left the game. So I will no longer be updating this post. Trumak, do what you want with it. Godd luck to all, it has been fun.

Little trick: Mantis leap has a cool thing about it where it doesn't bust you out of invis/steath when you use it. nice for aggroing a name then porting back to a groupmember, or porting past roaming see-invis. Can be a nice thing to use for a bruiser with fast reactions + drag, to get a mob away from where it's at very fast (read incoming AOE). I play on a pvp server so i've had it forever (you can imagine it's uses there)
