Default 3% Riposte Adornment

Damageproc adornments in the main hand also proc off combat arts. Now is there a difference if I put the 3% riposte adornment on my main hand or off hand weapon?

Today I inspected someone who had the 3% riposte adornment on his main hand, and a vampiric pith on his off hand weapon. Either he was dumb, or there is something I'm missing.

Thinking of getting one of these for my off hand, and just wanted to make sure that it doesn't matter on what weapon I adorn it.

afaik, the only adornments that are negatively affected by being in the offhand are those with procs. As far as the game mechanics go, I see no reason the 3% riposte adornment wouldn't work perfectly in the offhand.

It's a slashing-weapon only adornment, so for your first point his mainhand weapon might have been mainhand-only. If that isn't the case, send him a tell and make sure he's aware of that. I know I've had my weapons in an non-optimal setup on occasion without noticing.

It won't matter which weapon you have it on, or which hand you have the weapon in, it'll work the same either way.
