i'm curious to know what all the VP monks are parsing (and with what weapons and group set ups) on an average fight where you aren't clicky bitch or otherwise not doing much, trash included.

i'll post mine after i actually get to spend a legit amount of time in there

Seems everyone is shy to post something so I ll start!
I have the mythical. Group is never the same. Usually a little over 4k ZW if I have a Dirge.
In case I only have an illu in group I should still manage 3.5k. Tbh if in any fight I parse less than 3.3ish I start looking at my gear wondering if I am not using the proper equipment!
I see no reason to post a parse, I am sure someone will pop up (now that someone has claimed some numbers) to brag about their 5k+ ZW in VP!

Well i've never once bothered looking at a VP zw.

1) i hate the zone
2) i'll be OT at numerous times (which may or may not require me to be in main gear opposed to DPS gear.
3) i'll end up saving someones ass who peels (or the raids if aoe is inc) and having to drop stances, temps etc
4) 1 shotted mt = im tanking / LD's (see point 3)
5) AFK's
6) I might not even be there the whole time, since i'll gladly sit for someone else.
7) and a million other reasons.



Im sure most of the above applies to most of the Monks so whats the point?

I mean i just pulled up a random parse on ACT and 99% are 4500-5300 some higher at times then there's random trash mobs im only hitting 2,3k. God knows what happened when i was only doing whats bascially autoattack dmg probably one of the scenarios above, but its those times that drag it all down. The zones just too long imo not to mention borig to even bother trying to get a decent zw parse, and if you only concern is doing a high parse your obviously not bothering with the other things that make your spot worthwhile. I mean fuck if zw's are the only thing your intrested in roll a straight up DPS class.

o yea i run with the Mythical/Nightmare wraps as for the rest of my DPS gear screw listing all that. Also ii do't have a clue what i had group wise for that parse i looked at, i just opened up ACT searched vees in the history and opened it up.

I fucking hate it with a passion if anyone says they give 110% in that zone all the time they are lying bastards, another reason why you'll never get a decent parse.

Pretty much agree with efob. A well geared brawler should have np doing 4500-5k+ parses. But as far as a zw the zone is way too long and boring to really care about a zw imo. I hate it 10x as much as EH. Plus at least for me, my guild kills the trash really quick so it is hard for my dps to really get rolling.
