you only needed to add in the recovery time if you were trying to get 2 CA to fit between each AA... That is prolly what you were thinking of.

Pretty much. When I"m solo parsing I sometimes even get 3, cause I'm a bruiser and we got zero innate Haste. So yeah I still have to use these numbers but I also have a bigger window than I thought before.

Why are you so concerned about dps from CA? it makes up so little of the total dps we generate from crushing, proc items/buffs, and our top 2-3 damage CA. I assure you by spaming you are doing nothing but lowering your overall dps especially on shorter fights.

And spamming is when you click all your CA as fast as you can when they come up.

God I need to quit trolling these boards....

Not exactly sure, but I think /weapon should show you your actual weapon delay after group/raid buffs. That might come in handy for a noob to know.

Played the jack of all trades in most of my raids so I never really got seriously intense about timing etc. cuz I'd be catchin adds, killin coffins etc. I just got into a nice rythm.

Had a guy from a WW guild get burnt out and transfered to ours, he gave us all dps goals to try to achieve and I was damn near double the number he said a monk should do (I don't think they used a monk in their raids cuz I didn't think I was parsing too hot LMAO) so I was content with what I was doing with my CA's.

In ACT there is a way to use triggers to let you know when your autoattack hits then you cast your ca.. it's super easy to get the rythm down and increase your dps.

Under the Triggers/Sounds tab find where it says Regular Expression. copy and paste these in there..

.*?YOU critically hit.*

.*?YOU hit.*

.*?YOU try to crush.*

.*?YOU try to pierce.*

.*?YOU try to slash.*

I just put slash and pierce in just incase i get weapons that are not crush.

Now with this it will beep everytime one of those actions happens. So i start off the encounter with a Ca, beep, ca, beep, ca, beep and so on. It's cake. and actually increased my dps over spamming by nearly 2k, depending on the fights. Having two weapons that are equal in delay is important, if they are not the same the timing will be off because while one hits, the other is waiting to hit so you wait longer to cast a ca. So get the 2.5 sec delay weapons for both hands and go to town.

Hope this helps.

I can see getting 2 ca's in if your a brusier

Harder hitting ca's with low haste.

Interesting, I might have to try that.

I have parsed on the wall in KJ, and for me at least I cant really tell a nocticable difference between spamming and timing.

However I am bruiser and not a monk.

I am using the fabled epic and deklium.

In instances almost always spam, since the mobs usually dont live long enough for it to matter.

I've given posts on how you can get two CA's per auto attack but it seems to have been lost in translation as people still don't get it so I'll make it very clear.

Mindful (Master I) - lowers you cast time to 0.44s
AGI line 4,6,8 (Baton Flurry) - Lowers recovery time to 0.36 (Make it your first CA)

Add those together and you get 0.8. Self buffed a Monk should be at 1.6s delay on a 2.5s weapon (epic and others).

0.8 + 0.8 = 1.6
CA + CA = Weapon Delay

There ya have it. Your AA build to spam CA without missing and auto attack.

Now if you want a raid build cause you have more haste (Most your will get is a 1.5s delay) you only need to put one more point into AGI(2).

I swear people go off this cookie cutter AA builds (AGI4,8,8) without even understand what they are putting points into. It took me about 15mins in Fens to build this by adding a point checking the results, adding a point checking the results. People keep asking for the best AA build, well the best AA build is the one built for your toon by you.
