Well, as I allready said I can provide no strong argument against people using it other that I don;t like it. Same way I don;t like lifeburn.
Look at it this way. You joust AEs you can take and lose DPS for safety. You don't hit the mob first but say 1 second later so that everything goes smooth. Same way I don't like a choker causing surprises. It's how I feel about it.

For a fighter class though I would go as far as losing 1000 hitpoints and a lot of avoidance to DPS but that's far as I would go. If anything happens I want to have full health. I can trust our tanks but if needed I will not wait them to do a fighter's job. Say tank dies, loses aggro, goes LD, I ll Peel the mob at once. Maybe it's just my playstyle.

I am always the one who gets aggro if our tank dies and I have never had a problem off tanking with a choker. The only time I wouldn't use it is mting.

I have worn it and had to OT and oh shit tank and have had no problems. You just /gasp pay attention and don't spam CAs when having to do that.Yes it is a nice DPS neck slot and monk can duo SOF to get it. I 2 box duo SOF with my mystic regularly and auction the chokers in channel.
