I'm level 68 right now and mostly solo and group when the chance arises. I bought a Fist of Bashing which is fairly decent I think (came back during LL program from EQ1). Looking on the broker there really isn't much else to pair this weapon with.

I'm wondering if I respec from STR line and use the fists (77.3 DR) and pair that with a lvl 62 MC weapon or possibly a weapon that is about 68ish DR will I loose DPS from the STR line bare handed?

Also is there a way to tell if a weapon is decent for the level? Is it safe to assume that if the DR is higher than the lvl req for the weapon that it is "good"? Or is it safe to say if it is MC quality or better for the level that it is good?

Thanks for any insight on these questions....coming from EQ1 and playing a monk and coming here is turning out to be 2 very different worlds for me.

Stick with str till 72 MC and then do epic and get another 2.5 to match it.

I wouldnt drop str line until you got your epic, or atleast until you are upper 70's. Since you will mostly be soloing the STR line helps a lot. MC weapons are not really that great unless you are sporting some decent crit/DA/DPS gear which you wont get much of til upper 70's
