Another question for the Guru Monks.

Just recently been assigned to the fat boy grp in our raid force. Grp 4. Lost my Dirge. (better's the raid force as a whole) They are toying with the idea of giving me a Illy or a troub. Not geared no where near as well as you all are. Can hit 7k with DIrge, cant wait to see how I do without.

Blanka, Disturbed etc, guys, which class should I try to petition for in my grp. what is the next best thing for me.

Both illy and a troub and you will be fine. I raid alot without a dirge, not recently as we seem to be going back to a 3 dirge setup till we find another fucking troub. But seriously as long as you have any type of chanter and bard in your group you will be fine. The problem with not having a dirge is when you have to tank.

What is the purpose of troub? Skill buff? I dont think we need any more haste from him. If its Jcap it can be used from outside grp.

And yes, grp without a chanter is no fun at all

Well its not parry but a troub also can buff def over a illy too if you have to OT something. Pre lu 51 a illy may of been alot more dps due to how strong POM was but now its been nerfed down alot. Depends also where you are as of crits if you are at max crits and never OT anything then go illy better as of DA ((myth)) nerfed POM effects ca's and melee and power tricks.

Thanks for the info Blanka, yeah they gave me a illy the other night and got high needs for a troub in recruitment thread for my grp.

If not dirge, I prefer Troub/Coercer. Troub caps my haste (just for completions sake), along with crits, da, and power regen as said. There's most likely another person who would get IA over you anyways, so I take coercer for the DPS buff(/other obvious stuff), as that's usually below 70 w/ no coercer.

try get an inquis along with the troub... coercer is great too but they usually dont fit a magy group as well an illus
