Use external calm to help ward choker damage.

Replace the jewel, isn't worth it.

It depends on the shaman, too. Defilers have a replenishing ward against magic damage and it DOES ward choker damage (at least it did last summer, may have changed since then ahah). My heal parse would go through the roof when I had 2 or more chokers in my group.

Plus a mythical defiler has a heal added to their wards.

Jewel cant kill you, although choker can. So if you use both you need a healer who will heal.
