Default bumping the dps a bit more..

During raids I normally am running around 75% crit with the 35% crit proc gi taking me over 100% often, around 80% DA with procs taking me over 100% frequently, capped haste, and around 150 dps mod.

I notice however I have next to no CA damage increaser. Should I look to give up a little bit of crit and/or DA to make my CA's do more of my dps or should I keep maxing crit as far as I can and leave the DA alone?

You have decent gear with high crit and DA. It's time to get more +CA and proc gear.

For dps gear, one is the choker from SoF. Another is T2 shard shoulder, wilderness warrior's shoulderpads.

Until the proc gear being fixed, get more proc gear with same proc, for example, greater void bane and void bane gear.

Any monks actually use the choker from SoF? I just cant see the proc worth loosing +5 crit. Correct me if Im wrong but monk CA's avg 1100 dmg at max hit so your talkin a +100 per hit avg on our 10 dmg CA's equaling +1000 damage? (And only while its proc'ing)

1 crit on our auto attack would do more dmg correct?

The shard shoulders are 8% increase all the time so are greater then the choker and without the health drain. I did also notice a small dps gain dropping the shard shoulders for the captains cursed shoulders.

In raid I would say you should be 85%+ crit without the gi proc before venturing for CA, Hell I run 76% crit self buffed (111% w/gi)

The choker also increases your proc damage along with your CA
increase as base spell damage increases procs. Also the choker
is allways working not positive what your reference to a proc
was about.

Put choker on take it off and inspect your procs both ways, the
T2 shoulders do the same thing you should have the Wilderness
ones for a dps set of gear as they buff base CA and Spell damage.

Also as you stated your crit rate is allready high with potions and
group buffs and temp adorns you can easily sit past 90% with no
procs if thats the case any extra damage you can get anywhere
is the way to go.

My bad havent looked at the choker in quite some time, for some reason thought it proc'd the 10%.

He said he is sittin at 75% crit with raid buffs that still has room for improvement before adding CA over crits or even removing crits for CA was all I was getting at as I would have to be sitting at 90% crit before I would give up the 5% crit torque for the choker as I just cant see it doin much for a monk untill all else is max'd which is why Im askin if any of you have used it and seen a big increase?

I havent used crit adorns or potions since I got over 70%, does the 4% crit potion and 3% crit adorn stack?

Yes they stack and you can unequip your offhand and adorn it also.
And I would use the choker over 5 melee crit run some parses on training dummies for pure dps spec its still hard to beat.

Damn, ok I didnt know you could adorn your secondary thats kewl, Im gonna have to use the +adorns, +potion and choker and see what it looks like on the parse that should place me at 81% crit + the 10% base CA. Dont think the wall would be a good idea with jewel and choker though.

The reasons of why choker is superior or why gear that raises the base damage is superior:

It raises the base damage of CA, spell and proc.

With higher base damage of CA and spells, you can stack more +CA and +spell damages.

With higher CA, spell and proc damage, the crit damage of CA, spell and proc is higher.

+10% base damage is far superior than +5% crit.

Just out of curiosity what would be better offhand...

nightmare wraps

or

void knuckles

void has more DR but delays dont match and the skill bonus stinks compared to wraps... I think the proc on wraps is better as well.
