Last nite - I was put on hold for a x2 raid in the new content. As I waited to see if our guild had enough players on to do a second group - it really occured to me that the only way I would get in that group is if there was an empty slot. Bottom line is - there are a lot better class choices a group would take over a monk. Unless your the MT, or super ubered out pre TSO, - TSO has killed our usefulness. Every class can contribute something BETTER than a monk now - and since TSO has down played avoidance and itemized haste - I understand 100% why my class will always get the last pick in a x2 grp or no spot at all - (Unless I'm MT).

I am retiring my monk - its too fustrating, devs don't respond to our ideas on eq2players, not worth bothering with this class.

Lol why not just get a new guild there my friend? I am sure that since you have gotten some decent gear and knowledge you could really help out a guild that is still learning some of the TSO encounters.

This reason right here is exactly why there are so many level 80 alts running around the game...

I can feel your pain.

Brawlers, especially monks, need to be well geared to tank raid mobs. It's much easier to keep plate tanks up than brawlers when both are under geared.

After gearing up, we can tank raid mobs in a different way of plate tanks. The only problem is that your guild is willing to give you the chance to gear up or not.

Well if anything brawlers can tank raid mobs, but it is still substantially worse then a guard. When our guard had no gear he would sit until we geared him out, because he got 1 shot. Now that he has his 6 peice set and avatar bp he can tank every raid now w 2 healers. As i said before this is the first expansion where they got the mitigation vs avoidance right. Not to say monks don't need help in dps/utility/tanking.

On the other hand the avoidance buff from a monk does give a substantial role to a monk in raid. Especially since you were avoiding 30% of the hits on the maintank.

Ya that is fucked up, but hey, it does not surprise me at all. Some of your fellow members in PD do not have a clue. I went through there and we had a T1 geared monk with fabled epic and Doomcoil baton as OT/MA we did fine. I know your better geared then that so refer to my second sentence. This is all to funny because them telling you this is like saying fuck you go get a PuG if you want your t3 gear LMAO. Fuck whoever in PD told you that.
