Re: New Raiding monk need some advice
I would say you need to look at your gear, weapons and AAs at 80 with medium gear 2k should be just autoattacking. (like suriously just hit autoattack and see what u parse) I cant see any monk spamming their CAs that their autoattack doesnt fire off so much their dps goes lower then pure autoattack.

Re: New Raiding monk need some advice
ok, in pvp macroing does me wonders personally, I almost always unless they pop a parry belt, manashield etc have them dead way before my ca's are done and timed out. Now i did increase my overal parse by timing a ca inbetween each autoattack. which allowed me to always use a ca since the timing allowed one to atleast always be up and i used a debuff everytime it was available. I will find out on saturdays raid what I parse on a x2 mob will post then, thanks

This is why you are stupid, you have multiple people telling you that you are wrong yet as a dumbass you aren't listening.

Re: New Raiding monk need some advice
Might be useful to post ur aa specs too . Im not sure on eq2players but atm its showing you dont have your fabled epic. Also if those are the weps you are useing there delays dont match either so your missing autoattacks. Try going to a training dummy and parse the best you can without chi/dev fist/crane twirl or any speciels and post the pie chart up on here.

Re: New Raiding monk need some advice
I would not even consider a toon raiding ready until they got their epic... and when I got my mythical it added 2k dps easy without doing anything different.
Make sure you have an AA mirror and have a PVP setup and a raid setup if you are worried about dps.
Having weapons with the same delay will add more dps if you are timing CA's but if you are refusing to do so and spamming still then it really doesnt matter what the delays are.
Lastly you need to get in a group that can buff your melee skills and damage... I dont raid on pvp so not sure what you got to work with there.

Look, I honestly don't disagree with you on the OPs choice here. Macroing your CAs is dumb, plain and simple, and like I said, he's clearly crippling himself. But random flames, jackassery, and bluffs are so common here as to make people frankly dismiss anything thats said about them in a nasty way. I was hoping that if someone told the OP that despite being a jackass, the jackass is right about his idiotic combat scheme, he might listen.
Because seriously Shears, you can do way better. Make sure you have two equal delay weapons (probably 2.5 sec delay) and time your autoattacks. If you still need help go to eq2interface.com and download the autoattack bar--you'll note how it just sits at full when you que autoattacks constantly, and any time that bar isn't moving you're tanking your own dps.

Re: New Raiding monk need some advice
I am currently aware that the weapons delay are hurting me but i planned that for epic in main. I will have epic finished before saturdays raid this post was mainly to get advice on raiding, just mainly asking for little tidbits to increase dps parse, i disabled my ca que but havent had the chance to really see how it makes a difference. I have been using macros for a very long time so getting myself away from them is really hard but working on it. Thanks for all the helpful posts, not posting again till after raid saturday night. thanks

Re: New Raiding monk need some advice
My bet is that with your epic and if you can keep yourself from overwriting autoattacks you'll see your parse jump significantly.

Re: New Raiding monk need some advice
With my epic im parsing 3.1 , just by waiting for a miss on my autoattack to hit a ca, if i could only get ACT to Dl on my comp I wouldnt have to watch my combat hits tab, im happy with that, will be closing this thread just for the retarded ass flaming, lol macroing is stupid, only to those who dont know how to set up a macro and use em, but go ahead and flame this post and enjoy it cause i wont be checking it. Thanks to all who actually posted a reply worth reading and with the intention of helping. Play a pvp server before you diss me about how i play my toon. I use a surviability set up and dps set up for raiding on aa's, very common but really low on aa only 128 so limited, bet will be even better when i get in the 160's range.
Thanks Again
