So don't take STR past 4/4/8 if anything basically... Good to know. Did you guys go AGI or INT first? The reuse timer could be useful, but since so much DPS is from auto attacking for MONK I like the idea of DOUBLE ATTACK and CRIT CHANCE together

STR 4,4,8
INT 4,4,8

Sounds like a good way to spend the first 32 AA... Especially for PVP. Any thoughts from the monk vets?

Honestly man, I don't have a clue about pvp. I heard the teleport aa is really good, I'd guess it is probably similar to when I do duels so normally if I go all defensive and load up on ward/heal gear I don't die ever to anybody so the build for pvp is probably dramatically different.

If you are in crappy gear running around zones depending on soloing mob after mob. When you get to anything you cant normally solo. Chi/eagle shriek/ can be capitalized by useing tsunami below 30% hp after you have already used your heal. I have bursted mobs down when they were still at 60% hp by using this strat. It works.

Yeah, my main is a bruiser so I could see how this would work solo but as a monk I wouldn't want to be solo. I'm trying to spec out the monk for MAX DPS actually, and i'm thinking INT line would be a great way to start since the CRIT will effect both CA and AA. I can definitely see now after playing the monk for a bit why STRENGTH line is more of a bruiser SPEC.

Well for sure at the start maxing the crit and DA in both the STR and INT lines as well as recast timer in AGI lines are probably your best bang for your buck. At some point you are probably going to hit this point where dropping 3 crit points from your int like so you can get craneflock is worth it, but thats more when you get 80 and will need the ae stuff for instances.

Appreciate the advice. I'll avoid CHI and get my DA and CRIT up first. Loving the MONKS attack speed so far. The only real difference is it's harder to PVP then bruiser, but if done right you can be just as deadly.
