Re: win
with all the smack aimed at us i still love playing my monk. jack of all trades, master of none indeed. that's what makes a monk so fun to play imo. we are capable of great things (to a reasonable extent) - but only if the people you surround yourself with are as malleable as you should be. adaptablility and quick problem solving is the name of the game. we have our limits as all classes do , but we can be called upon to do various things that other classes may not be able to perform at times. many feel that monks can be, and are, often left out of the raiding equation. just another mouth to feed. but i have a great time on raids as i am the usually the one trusted to regain control of an undesirable situation. if events become too entropic we ( as monks) have options to at least salvage something positive out of a less than desired outcome.
i never expect nor try to top the parse by mashing ( not that i could anyway), nor do i feel it necessary to justify my apparent accolades or shortcomings. even tho i still manage to make the parse at a respectable placing i try to do my job, to do whatever is called upon me to do in any given situation , as well as i can. i like my monk and could give a rats ass as to what others think. our diversity is what makes us interesting - and i feel if you can play a monk well you can play almost any other class with some pinache.
