Iron Stance, level 78 Combat Art (CA) that stuns caster. What situation would I ever use this CA? Tanking?

basically never... the chance you are tanking and you know you have complete aggro control and snap aggro up and only secondary or support dpsing then i have used it tanking trak in RoK to bump my mt closer to 8k so i was just a rock. Since the dps was limited and monks are mostly melee damage and toping that parse. I never worried about aggro , usually i needed deaggro to not pull it.

Well until you get the stun removed from AA. Then its decent short term mit buff.

Get mitigating blow in TSO monk tree. It removes the stun component in Iron stance. It's very useful for emergency/short time tanking.

I use this ability all the time in tanking situations. I did not however have this in regular use until I had the AA to have the stun removed as others have said. It rocks.

For the average monk getting stun removed seemed more usefull then meditative healing while tanking instances as Im just not getting hit hard enough to proc the heal in most instances.

The 3100 mit boost however had a significant effect during adds and named fights.

With so many plates in guild I only tank sisters in SoH and the occasional adds on ToMC.
