Look, i mean I'm not a 'top end' (no homo) Monk, but i'm working my way through the class since its become my main, continuing to gear up and trying to become the best I can ... So I want to qualify my remarks with the fact that I've finally gotten a couple new things (like signet of betrayal and the relic of the ethernauts). I feared this GU, because I heard about how all classes dips would drop when it came to procs, and how heal procs would hurt etc, and since the GU came out i've unfortunately been more on my mystic (due to some people being unable to be around) but my monks DPS was higher than ever last night.

Did this GU even do much/anything to procs or am I bugging?

I mean I expected at least to not have higher dps even though i had more proc's on, to at least stay the same ... but it was my highest trash parsing ever (nothing Couch/Blanka style but still almost a full K higher'n my previous zw). Perhaps it DID effect it and maybe i should have been even higher because of it (would be nice :-) ), but I think most people in my guild seem to be about the same DPS after as they were before.

Its because the dirges CoB crits on melee now instead of spell most likely.

Because I heard our DPS was gunna get fucked, but mine did not ... so i was like real confused about said fact. Hence why I used multiple question marks, denoting my confusion.

I don't think any brawler with a clue how the game works said our dps was going to get fucked. In fact when we were debating the spell proc changes I specifically said the current proc mechanics hurt brawlers and melee classes. I was personally tired of looking at caster gear with base spell damage, spell crit, and spell crit bonus. As a means to increase my melee dps. Most brawlers never had a large amount of spell crit, spell crit bonus, or spell base damage. So effectively that change did little to nothing to effect our dps.

Items like the ethernaut collection further was not touched since they could not get effected.

Now why most people are seeing dps increases is due to the fact they lost very little dps in the proc changes, BUT saw a huge increase when certain procs became MELEE procs. (specifically the COB change). I like most brawler went from having 0 spell crit bonus, <10 spell crit. To nearly 100% melee crit, 25-30% melee crit bonus effect COB. Thats a huge increase to COB. This is why I said for a long time the proc changes are needed.

The classes that were getting fucked by this are the. Hybrids(crusaders, bards) casters (enchanters, sorcerers, summoners). The funny thing is and I dont know if this is typical but our enchanters are still putting up high parses, but our shadowknight did go down in dps.

That's fine by me, if my dips stays the same or gets better thats what i like. I have a few pieces that have +spell crit stuff and spell damage but i didnt put any of them on last night in favor of some of my newer stuff (because of the changes). Our SK was complaining a bit about his Dips not being as good as he wanted without pulling agro last night so he prolly was having trouble (fine by me, sorry Ocas :-) ) and yeah our chanters are still ridiculously high dips.

yup, most certainly. Because when speaking it aloud, saying dips is way easier and it becomes a habit, early.

I'm not trying to judge your lifestyle or anything, and if thats your deal then thats your deal but, i'm just saying that if your like "We need more deeps" or "MORE DEEPS!" on vent thats gay.
