OK just want some advice on which of the following I should use.

The Fistwraps seem to have better stats and DPS rating, but the Mallet has higher peak damage of 213 versus 197 for the fistwraps. Does the higher peak damage on the mallet outweigh the higher rating on the fistwraps?

For the record I have parsed both on practice dummies, and the Fistwraps had higher average damage just using auto-attack across 10 runs, but of course this doesnt consider the impact of the weapon stats in CA's etc.

as a general rule you want highest top-end damage.

This is because when geared out you should be pushing close to if not over 100% crit. One reason why you might want to hold on to the fistwraps atm (other than appearance) is because they are fists, and you can adorn them with 3% riposte.

But as for a better suggestion... try to get Nightmare wraps from Veeshan's Peak, or Void knuckles from Palace.

The Woven Gloves from Guk: Halls is decent as well, not as good as the Nightmare Wraps, but not has hard to get as the Void Knuckles. It has baby nightmare wrap stats, but the same proc amount.

I dunno about your server, but void knuckles on Guk usually don't sell for more than 50-70p.

I don't imagine void knuckles would sell for much on any server, considering the overall low brawler population the game has now.

I will try to figure what I think where your gear is, based on the weapon selection you are looking at.

I don't have any personal experience with either weapon, but just looking at stats, DA, proc, damage rating, I would go with the Ehternaut ones. This is why:

1. If you are looking at these for an offhand, you probably have not killed Tythus in Palace, therefore, not maxed on DA or Crit. Since you probably aren't close to capped on those, and the rest of your gear (no offense meant at all) is not high end, you are looking at your auto attack being around 55-60% of your dps. If your crit is 50-60%, then at or just below 50% of your auto attacks wont crit, therefore the higher end spread (i.e. wider damage spread) wont be beneficial. And DA would help you out that little extra bit.

2. The proc on the ethernaut weap is better, but that is my opinion. I base this off of the fact that usually you would discard one or the other due to the fight, proc based on resists. But, the ethernaut weap has slashing instead of an elemental or magic type proc. resists should be less.

That being said, I only based #1 off of what I am guessing as to where you are on your current gear set up. If you could give specific's on gear, we could prolly help more (not being an ass on saying that). So, everything I stated in item #1 was based on an assumption of where i think your gear would be.

Your gear in general as stated will determin alot, what is your crit and DA at and what items do you have that proc crit and DA?

equip one and do a /weapons then equip the other and do /weapons and post. Curious how much the +50str effects the final number on you.
