Yes, the fucking dog sucks. There are plenty of issues with the damn pet & I really got fed up with it. I had a choice between my Ranger's or Mystic's accounts to do my monthly renew when I came back from Fan Faire. I made the right choice with the Ranger, apparently, since shit never gets fixed.

Yeah I don't even use the dog anymore except for pet pulling. I'm spec'd AGI and STA now, so it's completely useless.

Who out there in an OT healer role has the strenght line?

My experience is that the dog keeps getting riposted/frontaled since position the dog on multiple targets is kind of tricky.

With a dead dog = strenght line useless

In math that would make
if strenght line = useless = dog useless = no need to cast dog = happy mystic

The damage shields T8 mobs have will still one or two shot the wolf, so i wonder if Aeralik thought about scaling the wolf's HP in that tier or better make the wolf immune to aoe without the necessity of strenght line. my thought? Add aoe immunity to every end ability shaman have. Then we can decide weither we want more dps (agility line) or more defensive abilities (Strenght line)

Well... I guess we'll wait through one more disappoinment in LU39.
And I still use the STR line in OT group. I don't send the dog in against mobs w/ a dmg shield like Collosus in MMIS or Plants on 3rd floor EH, but I send it everywhere else. And it hardly ever dies btw.

I asked advice from a necro friend about sending in the pet. When.. Where... that sort of stuff. Basically wait until MT turns the mob around, then send it. Also, as you position yoursefl around the mob your pet follows you and when you get a good attack angle send it in. You can determine if it goes in 90 degrees and rear normally like that. Of course as it turns out if your Tank looses agro the mob ALWAYS frontals and there goes the dog...

But that's my take on it. Even so, I'm still on the fence about dropping STR for WIS. Just can't make up my mind.
