Torpor - so, what's the deal with this

I've never rly raided with a Mystic before. Torpor seems like a decent spell but the -25% attack speed debuff along with the run speed debuff seems like a lot. Does anyone use this or does your tank yell at you when u cast this on them?

Mix it in after debuffs and attacks with your reapplying of your single target ward, 15-20 secs into the fight, he should have plenty enough aggro by then.

cool...I found it on the broker tonight for 11 plat. Either I got ripped off cause nobody rly uses it or some poor sap didn't know what he had.

Torpor is one of the single best HoT in game, as stated before, best to use when the MT is taking damage so the ward part of it kicks in.

As the second Shaman in most raids (Defiler in MT group), Torpor allows me to stack heals on the MT for big fights. Yes, I could just spam single wards over and over, but this way I'm actually adding heals to the mix.

It upgrades in the expansion too. And it still rocks, even at adept 3.

I remember picking it up for 2 plat 80 gold because someone had no clue what they were selling.

Speaking as an assassin (my main) ... you need to treat it like a buff and always keep it up on the ranger.

Guildmate looted it off a name in Lesser Fay. When I logged in and saw he won it, I text messaged him. He proceeded to tell me he just assumed I wouldn't need such a low level spell and sold it for 1 plat.

A couple of days later it arrived in the mail.

Majority of the time our defiler will be in MT.. But i find using Ritual of Alacrity on main tank and torper isnt a bad combo at the start when i am in the MT group

I use it at the start on MT if i am not in MT group and usually after tank gets to his pull spot.

I wouldnt worry about the movement slow. Put sow up on him.. If you dont have the 40% sow ask another person who does. Then he wont really even notice ;-D.
