I'm just curious, what in general is the level of Peoples DPS (on raids) in t8?

Now to be fair since i myself dont even have a static group on raids, ill simply say what my DPS Looks like when i have an Inquis and a Dirge buffing in my group (Usually theres some amalgamation of Brigands, Swash
s , assassins who wont give me Apply Poison, Illy's who dont give me Arm, and various tanks but rarely a zerk who would make me happy), i am in the 1400-2000+ range (now that I have the mallet of the twins i was cracking 2k on several fights this past weekend and ended with 1609 on the trash in the executioners throne room).

Just curious if i'm doing good dps, ok dps, or lacking at this point. Certain items i am looking to get jewelery wise and such to enhance it but while i could see it all working out to maybe like 1-200 but nothing 'huge' difference wise that i think would make/break me

i only have the crappy spear from the boss in chelsith and i can crank out over 2k sporadicly in thuuga and execution throne room with dirge buffs and over 1.5k zw (if u dont take pawbuster in the parse alltough thuuga is ok)...Id be very interested to see what my dps would be like with a better weapon heh (and better gear alltogether, im not exactly decked out in Fableds heh)..Usually sport mistmore's cloak and imbued str ring aswell as a dps adorned neck and thats pretty much it when i try and dps..

Using the leviathon weapon as well.

Group was dirge inqui coercer SK zerker and myself.

I maxxed at 3050. With a zonewide minus pawbuster of 2.4k. With Pawbuster is was just over 2k.

Kaizer .... what i wouldnt do to have that group (or at least to have a dirge, inquis, coercer and zerker...not sure what buffs a SK has for us, but those guys at least all .... mmmmm).

Hmmmn Maybe im gunna have to take a SS of a parse or something with the breakdown to see if im doing something wrong/missing something.

I recently got a 1handed crushing weapon from VP called Obedience Baton and it is pretty nice for 1h dps.

I haven't played since I got it b/c of the holidays, but on the trash mobs I was dpsing on, I was doing 1200-1500 with a 1h weapon in an OT group set up w/ 2 healers. I never wear melee amplifying gear unless I am soloing, so this was with heal gear.

The weapon has great stats and a nice proc, however the manner in which it procs needs to be severely adjusted b/c it only procs with a chance of a chance. (2.9 chance of proccing on critical heals).

the max i have hit was 3024 on one fight, i have had multiple high 2K parses (2700-2900) but i still have a vrak club and the same basic gear as i did last expansion. once the main classes get there stuff like monk getting the supple dogwood staff, maybe i will get one to play with and see if i can get mid 3K or even a 4K parse.

BTW the runic ppl in overking are decent to parse with, its hard to do good dps in vp do you hit rates and the fact you have to heal pretty hard in the zone

We havent been to VP yet as a guild so i dont know about that one, we've cleared all T1 and are working on T2. What i'm really curious about is what i'm apparently doing wrong, and I can't wait to raid this weekend now to get some 'hot ACT action.' I mean we have what, 2* dots, 1 Direct Damage and 1 DD AOE ... how can i be screwing that up order wise or something to get me so much less dps than ya'll.

*I dont include Slothfulness or whatever as a regular dot or anything because some mobs it doesnt seem to do balls to.

I don't think its a matter of doing thing wrong more then comparing apples to oranges. Hard to compare Lepios's gear to most other mystics. If your gear does compare to his then that may be another story, but my other buddy who raids with one of the "leet" guilds has gear unlike most of us commoner end game mystics. He tends to put up numbers like lepios does. Being able to be dps geared better then most guilds scouts/zerkers helps a lot.

I personally put up 2k ish in most tier 1 zones. Usually 1.4-1.8 is common.

Granted gear helps, but personally the only contested gear I have is the rougarou helm from PHH.

Other than that its my EoF fabled or T8 legendary to max str. Not even wearing the +dps or attack speed gear yet.

My personal attitude toward dps is once Rage comes up only use CAs or auto attack. Casting a spell while rage is up will lessen your DA hits.

Also as a barb I have a sheild bash ability and the AA abilites Phalanx and something similar to shield bash are melee attacks and will also crit so that helps squeak a few more dps out.

Timing CAs with dispatch, Cacophony and other timely buffs/debuffs will help a little. I try to hit our mitigation debuff while the mob is incoming. Best way is trial and error. Try one way if dps increases keep doing it. If not try somethign else.

Make sure the other group healer knows you are going balls out dps and to pick up the slack.

I would say that the main problem with that proc isn't the fact that it "procs with a chance of a chance", since most healers will have a 50%+ heal crit chance anyway, but that it doesn't affect wards.
