My mystic is only lvl 29, but I've noticed this proc is funky. With the full 5 AA points into it, my M2 Ursine reads 58-97 slashing damage.

Only, it never crits (I have 101% melee crit). Also, its actual damage range (when looking at hits on a undebuffed mob) seems to be 85-140.

Whats up with this?

Perhaps its a magic based proc?

As in, the proc's damage is based off spell crit not melee crit.

never really paid that much attention to it. Easy way to see if its spell based. Raise your INT and see if it goes up.

Yeah just tested, INT raises the damage. Disappointing, being a melee proc in the "melee" line. Hope its a bug thats gonna get fixed yet.

Bear claws is slashing damage but dont follow melee crit for some reason. It can crit though

Yeah, i was looking at all our CA's last night because I hadn't ever taken a super hard look at how I could modify them. ALL our CA's and procs are modifiable by INT. Higher INT, Higher dps..Now being that they are CA's you might find that weird that INT modifies them, but remember that they are rooted from your spell lines.

They are not all modified by INT. You need to closely examine them while not wearing any +CA/+Spell gear. Typically DoT portions of each are modified by INT, while the upfront damage is modified by STR. This is not a totally accurate rule, but it covers most of our abilities.

If you aren't using the CA versions then all bets are off.
