How do you people use Oberon Obstruction? - Page 2

LOL I cant believe i didnt respond to this ... but like others here, its the 'fuck, i really need a quick afk to take a piss' or 'damn that snapple in the fridge sounds banging right now' ward.

Only usable when i'm going to be away from the comp a sec (and never usable on raids to my knowledge).

I use it when I know a fear is incoming. It roots you in place, then remove it when the fear effect is off

Same, I mean you cant do shit when you are feared. You might as well be healing. Also, I use it in emergency situations for OT heavy fights, like Druushk and Nexona. It's a nice ward when used in the right situation..the OHSHIT moment or the "I have to tinkle moment"

the only situation i have seen that spell to be useful was in EoF when you were fighting wuoshi and dragging the grovebeast away to throw oberon onto the OT until he places the mob into the water, since then, i have not seen it used lol

I just betrayed to a mystic so I dont know much, but i know you can manastone (and also you can use that old mystic t7 tribal spiritualist hat's ability that gives you 266 power when you use it with ritual-- I betrayed so I have to wear it till i get gear

) while its toggled on, which i like small as it is..

I tend to use it when I know an AE is inc, and there's some squishy that dies every AE fight (stupid squishy), or a silly scout that likes to pull aggro cuz of a memwipe but cannot take 2 hits. Group Ward, Single target ward Oberon on the squishy, wait for it to pass (usually with timers you know when its inc within 10s), toggle it off?

I'm probably way off base but i love oberon for that, so far.

I'd like to think if you watch your maintained spells (see when wards drop) close enough you could work it in (i.e. throw it up when wards are up, toggle it off when they go down so its a little extra protection), but I haven't found a way that works quite yet because i like to overheal too much
