Oberon Obstruction is one spell I could never really quite workout how to use in a raid environment. I find it great for groups, click, go ninja afk to grab a drink etc, its just the raid use I have never really gotten to grips with.

Does anyone have any suggestions, apart from the click on and click off as soon as it wards against a big hit? If I do use it and thats rarely I click it on if both mainwards are down, whilst waiting on them to pop back up. Thats about it.

Would have made a great AA finisher, removing the stun effect from Oberon, shame.

Suggestions?

I use it in a raid when I get mana drained and have no power.

if you want to pwn on the heal parse and your in a MT grp or OT grp and your tank has the aggro use it when all you wards have just been used, throw it up then click it off when you can spam you wards again.

thats funny since it takes power to maintain.... how do u use it if ur power drained.... unless u mean ur at like 20% and throw it up

Someone calculated before that you could put out substantially more HP warding rather than cast Oberon. Granted - if all your wards are cycling you could throw it up and toggle it off but what's the chance that all heals, all wards and all debuffs are refreshing and the OT is getting hit at that time???? Haven't used it since the last time i needed an urgent beer break mid-fight. Any mystics regularly MT healing in VP atm?

use it when u know there are going to be things stopping u from casting.

I like to pop it when I have gravitas/coercer/furybuff/claymoreproc and check the value i hit for. If its high enough i go get a drink and take a piss

It is nice if you know you're going to get stunned. Otherwise, meh.

I use it when i know there is a stun that will prevent me from casting. Not to many encounters out there but Overking, few encounters in PR.

When i want to take a long afk in normal groups ;-D.. hehe * ok kidding*

Unfortunately, Oberon properly stuns you and prevents you from casting anything even with freedom of mind/symbol of stability. The Warden spell that heals over time and stuns does not. Gay? Yes, amazingly so.

Oberon is useless except in emergencies.
