Oberon to me sucks and i have not found a single time (raid wise) where it was something that was more beneficial than me casting other stuff ... well there was ONE time, yesterday ... but it shouldnt count. We were killing the contested in JW real quick, and my mystic was in the MT Group, and i was boxing my friends Coercer ... so at one point i threw oberon on, then switched to the coercer and tried using it (which i TOTALLY have no idea what im doing, and i almost memwiped the mob :-) )

I use stoicism as soon as MT is in place. and somtimes even before...they dont suffer from it...and if you have a Bard ( dirge ) in your group ( witch all MT group shoudl have )you get high runspeed in battle anyway...and has gone down WIS-line in bard-tree there should be no problem at all casue there is a spell that gives increased runspeed in combat. The dps might be slighty annoying for them...but still nothing to worry about imo.

So far it hasnt killed us / MT...and we raid all VP

The warden AA line that stops 50% slow effects works on Stoicism, just something to keep in mind

its one of the best heal or ward abilities in game (along with Repent). if your tanks are bitching, tell them to STFU and deal with it. but yeah, if you have a fresh one on when the mob dies, be polite and click it off.
