Stoicism

Hey all, first I admit into not fully searching this in the threads before posting, anyways. I recently betrayed to a mystic about a month ago.

I have noticed that tanks get upset sometimes when I cast Stoicism on them so i try not to do it unless i have to. One thing I do like to do tho is before I cast my group ward I cast my single ward and then used to like to cast Stoicism which would give me plenty of time to get up my group ward. Especially when raiding VP where the mobs hit harder then most other places.

Anyways I'm looking to see if I am useing this in its unattended way or if I am just missing something here.

btw, i have to say after playing my defiler for a long time, i find the mystic a lot of fun.

I Use Stoicism all the time, if Rhita's bitching too bad! The only time i dont like to use it is in the first seconds of the fight though, i try to give it a few seconds (Like 5-10) so he can establish some good agro even with the stun. And if theres alot of running in the fight (if im on the OT) i dont always use it (Nexona add duty FTW!).

Use it all the time. If the mob is dead toggle it off so he isn't snared. If he loses aggro take it off to so he can run after it but otherwise use it regardless.

This spell is too good not to use. Get a good crit on it + claymore proc and you are talking well over 2k+ per tick :p

Also It is a good idea to watch your cast orders with this one. try to make it the one that gets eaten first by hits so it can regen while you refresh any wards that are touched or running out of duration beneath it.

Seriously amuses me how many people do not know how to use both of our regenerating wards! ;)

If stoicism is Torpor ignore the nagging and cast it anyways. Pretty much the best move ever.

The reason tanks will be upset when you torpor/stoicism them is it lessens their melee haste slightly; and they think they're there to dps, not to live.

If you had an ability that made them unkillable but reduced their dps mod 10% they would tell you not to cast it.

Normally I dont use it in this context, but in a panic the other day our MT was pulling and having to move a little further than usual, taking a shit ton of damage, and I hit Stoicism..needless to say, quicker than I could toggle it off, he bitched in Vent OMFG I hate that Fucking Mystic Ward!! I was like..uhh sorry!

hehe. He didnt die..but yeah I was redfaced. I know it sucks for them to have to move around with that spell.

Luckily, I dont use it on pulls ever normally. It is an awesome spell and I use it in my rotations. I wish that Oberon was raid wide. Wouldnt that rock?

Stoicism and Oberon are some of our best weapons in our arsenal of heals.
