Re: Mythical Nerf Inc.
There is very few mystics in the game to begin with. And off those mystics you could probably say 1/4 or less visits the forums.
Sadly since we really dont have a voice and with numbnuts in the other classes who decide they post a negitive agrument any time someone says anything.
Its just counter productive. Needless to say. There is more complaining numb nuts out there than actual mystics.

Re: Mythical Nerf Inc.
Well, considering what mystics have today, epic or not, it would have been nice to have a bone for us. You can always throw in an extra warden or templar on a raid, or even an extra defiler, but rarely do you bring an extra mystic, one is usually enough (at least in my experience, it's possible other guilds do it very differently).
Sadness indeed, even though I don't even have my mythical yet, but I was hoping to hold this gem in my hands at some stage, and finally feel useful. Debuffs and all it's glory, but it would be nice to bring something a little extra to the table.

Re: Mythical Nerf Inc.
Mystics don't need a bone. Along with templars, they are already among the most desired healers for raids. If your guild doesn't see it that way, then I dunno what to say, heh.
There's no reason not to bring 2 mystics on a raid. And there's only a VERY small handful of mobs that you want/need the defiler in raid for. Things might change next expansion, but right now you could basically have only mystics and templars in raid and still do extremely well on virtually all content. Hopefully the upcoming mythical changes at least do a bit to bring the other healers up a notch.

Re: Mythical Nerf Inc.
this is pretty... pointless.
so, whats better on mystics than on any other healer (-templar) except our current epic?
we buff bad. we add nothing really useful to the grp except hp.
all other non druids do the same + mostly some other useful stuff that increases dps or survivability like stoneskin. in case of defiler more hp. and druids just heal groups up 2 or 3 times fast. as we speak of group healing... this is mostly just possible b/c of group heal items that are wearable by all healers. this really speaks for mystics.
next thing is debuffs. cool for debuffing hard adds and mobs with frequently ae´s but mostly useless since a normal raid hits every cap easily.
sure, there are a few useful specials like bolster and stoicism (and the fact our groupcure is very good THIS add on). but all classes get em.
so, what exactly makes a mystic better than other healer classes, or even overpowered (lol)?
i wasn´t bitching around when mystics where 2nd choice shamans for 2 years, when shaman gear in generel was not existing (kos + eof) or when they released the total fucked up eof mystic aa. and i´m not bitching around now, because i think mystics with the current mythical (or a bit lowered) are pretty good balanced. and they wont be after the upcoming changes.

Re: Mythical Nerf Inc.
Why are Mystics rare?
Perhaps because guilds don't value them significantly as raid class members. Maybe one Mystic per raid if you want Defiler benefits in the MT and OT group. Mythical was helping to change this.
Spirit Tap, in original form may have been over powered, however, they nerfed both parts of the equation, Constrained to Group damage to mob and reduces % of impact. Net result, back to a minimal benefit, if you already have Chanters/Bards in group.
Sony could have instead reduced Spirit Tap % impact so it took longer to regen health and power. Kept it raidwide like most other class Mythicals. This would have been more reasonable change instead of trivializing it.
But the real test of whether this is overpowered is how many people are rolling new Mystics (or betraying to create one) to get to a toon that is in demand on raids. With the nerf, think that will continue to be a very small number compared to other classes.
Many guilds view Mystics as optional class with

Re: Mythical Nerf Inc.
To tell you the truth there are guilds that value mystics. Mine...(infact we run with 2 mystics)
I MT shaman for certain Avatars. I've MT shaman all of VP. Mystics can do as good as a defiler if you know your class well and not Fuck around. Bottom Line..
Btw thats not a sock in my Crotch!
