I dont know about his, but my group wards ARE all Encompasing and no one ever takes damage when a mob fires off an AE. Ever.

If no one in your group is taking damage on mob AE's you must be in some lower level zones or something. Usually my Group Wards protect one or two people, but that 5k doesn't last enough for all six members.

I have a coercer in my group, so i get Coercive healing, my wards are like 7k+. My group ward protects the whole raid.

No I was talking about a trigger if you recast the ward while it's still up.

a) AOE --> ward makes it through the AE = no damage to heal
b) AOE --> ward was whiped through = trigger-upon-recast-while-ward-is-still-up doesn't apply.

With Claymore+Totem of the Ankexfen, some crits, and coercive healing I can hit 9k+ wards. Sometimes that's still not enough to soak up AOE damage for my group. Not to mention with the changes, the Jewel of Animosity damage bypasses wards...so with a monk and zerker in my group both using it, I have to do a lot of actual healing even if my wards are still up.

I haven't gotten to this AA yet (RL is teh suck) but I'm hoping it works nicely and will help me out with the Jewels so I can have a little time to DPS...pls to bug SOE about this until we get a definitive answer or something kthx bai.

For sure, if you have a Group Ward up, then cast another, the re-application of the Ward does not trigger the heal.

Another question I'd have is the timing of the heal when the Group Ward gets broken.

So, I have a Group Ward up, and an AE goes off. The Ward protects Player 1, and gets broken partway to protecting Player 2. Player 2 takes remaining AE damage.

Now, does the Group Heal get applied prior to the damage being applied to the rest of the group? If so, useless!

Wow, Jewel of Animosity damage bypasses wards??? That would explain why I want to kill myself when I'm in the OT group. xD

Edit: And no, if you're solo healing a group with two jewels you're pretty much gonna be spamming heals to keep them full.
