Re: Groupwardbonus - shamantree
I respecced into this to try and test it out...the Kindred Restoration was less than 1% of my total healing. It really doesn't seem like it's worth it, the only time it seems to go off is when your ward runs out due to time...which just doesn't happen with 2x choker, 2x Jewel, and OT chain pulling.
I usually have another healer (cleric) but reactives don't proc off of Jewel damage either it seems, and when it's the Inq he's too busy DPSing to help me heal the choker damage *pout*

I started having the coercer give CH to the templar for our 3xchoker, 2xjewel, OT with choker AND jewel group because seriously? My 3 little direct heals ain't gonna cut it and the wards ain't gonna do a whole lot. Its worked out a lot better that way, so I figured reactives -did- mitigate jewel damage, but maybe not...

Re: Groupwardbonus - shamantree
Yep, going back through some of my parses, it seems to perform decently in single group instances, like Halls of the Fallen (Guk) where it did 3% of my parse. But in raids, it did even better. In VP it did 4% (mostly mage group, I was the only healer). COD was again 4%. It seems to do around 4% on all the raiding I did this weekend, which admittedly was sub-par groups/attendance as we had alot of alts and not even full raids most of the time hehe.
Edit to add more current zones:
TOMC - 6% through first 3 nameds and several attempts on 4th one.
PoA - 2% just through twins.
Clearly the more dmg your group is taking, the more heals this AA will do. On an easy trash clearing like the beginning of POA, it does only 2% because I was hardly healing at all.

Re: Groupwardbonus - shamantree
Sadly no coercer in my group. Usually Zerk (Choker/Jewel), Monk (Choker/Jewel), Dirge (nub that I outparse while healing somehow), Illy, and Temp/Inquis based on who logs in that night.
My group takes plenty of damage even on trash b/c of the chokers/Jewels. But this AA still came in at only 1% of my heal parse, while Hateshield was pretty 'up there' at 14%. Am I doing something wrong...? I guess I'll have to keep playing around with it. It just doesn't seem as uber as it sounds like it should be *sigh*

Re: Groupwardbonus - shamantree
Hateshield would make it a lot less likely Kindred Restoration has anything to heal, therefore it would push it down the list.

Re: Groupwardbonus - shamantree
Well I have a lot of Jewel damage going on though...and Hateshield doesn't absorb any of that. So there is plenty for Kindred Restoration to heal.

Re: Groupwardbonus - shamantree
From Mondays test update notes:
Quote:
Shaman
- Kindred Restoration will now cast properly if the shaman is casting another spell.
|
This should hopefully bring the AA up drastically in usefulness.

You know there is still a lot of people who think chokers don't effect wards..sigh

Two spells can't be cast at the same time, so the bug occurred because the game registered Kindred Restoration as a spell being cast (where it wouldn't trigger while casting a spell). Therefore, I would think that the way this would be fixed is by not counting Kindred Restoration as a casted spell and therefore would no longer trigger damage from Maestro.
We'll see on live..anyone know when GU51 comes?
