Best Mystic gear TSO Thread

question from a non-mystic. How many end game mystics continue to wear the 4piece VP set for the reduction on the group ward? Is it worth dropping that for anything?

I continue to wear it. plan on wearing it as long as progression allows. will try to keep boots, forearms, gloves, and pants on as long as possible.

With shard shoulders and an upgraded BP. And the Rune etched helm.

If I get my hands on the avatar chaine healer BP, I would think there is no need for the VP 4 set bonus at that point.

Will have to wait and see.

I had to drop it for most situations. Honestly most of the time its more beneficial to have TSO gear and such than it is to have that, the recast is nice to have but if its that or dieing ... although depending on what we're OTing or whatever i throw on the 4 piece.

Since the Rune Etched Helm from Shard of Hate, heritage quest Dark Mail Gauntlets, and tiered legendary or fabled void shard shoulders are all currently end game items, one only has 4 slots left to wear the VP armor. But, not wearing the TSO set pieces, which provide critical mitigation, is a disservice to the raid. It is foolish to use the VP set to gain reuse on the group ward resulting in slightly more proc chances in lieu of survivability. Furthermore, Savage Healing is intended to make up most of the difference if one tries hard enough.

Thats where the warning is imo. We shouldnt have to "try hard enough" with gear that is supposed to be better. Im gonna wear VP set as much as I can..I still think the TSO gear is crap and done give me what I need. ( have 4 part of VP atm )
The "try hard enough" suits better if the gear was T7. ( if I wear T7 gear and "tries hard enough" then I might heal as well as in T8 gear )...see my point ?

New gear should = easier healing.
I wish there was 2 versions of this fable set..like there is in shardgear.
One more towards pure healing...and one towards meleeing mystics.
Then you can choose whatever suits yoru playstyle the best.

Savage Healing more than makes up for the 4 set when you can melee, but as soon as a joust fight comes along then it drops to zero HPS. Maybe if I was jousting too it would help, but I don't want to loose those few seconds of casting time it takes to move, especially if I need to be casting a heal at that point.

There is only 1 encounter at the moment where I wish I had my 4-set (I switched from dirge near the start of this expansion) and thats Gynok, the rest I haven't had an issue with.

Are you wearing the numinous BP and how well is that mini-hate shield working? I'm considering getting it over the SoF cast robe and just wondering how it stacks up.

I have parsed the Numinous BP procing wards for 1194. You have to get the the Totem of Ankexfen and Arm of Erolsi procing at the same time to get that high though. In raid it is usually around 3-5% of my heals, so it is as good if not better than Runic Armor at Master Level.

Numinous BP is pretty sweet, and like Arcane, does about 3-6% of my parse, depending on the situation of course.

DMG is more than just a haste. the additional heals are nice as well. They're all around fantastic gloves.
