Default STR vs. STA - line

Ok..ive tested doggie out again. but the bugger still keeps dying and he doesnt actually ward for alot. ive given him the buffs etc to make him stronger, but still he dies and doesnt do much at all..infact he takes more dmg than he wards for. Yes ive gone all the way down in STR..so he should be immune.

So...
Therefor im thinking about, should I go back to STA- line all the way down and take "Coagulate"..I have never actually gone the whole way down the line before. Only maxed out cures so far.
What do you think...is that STA endline ability crap ?
I know for sure that the cures are nice to have...but not sure about "coagulate" 1,174 doesnt sound alot to me, but ...well..what do you say ?

Do you raid or group/solo? If you mostly raid i say dog still, but if your not raiding the Dog might not be as much of a help for you (although i still think it is) ... the end line in Sta is good in a way, BUT i would much rather never let my group get to that point, than spend those AA's 'in case' they do.

I agree with Kfizzle.
Dunno why you're having problems with your dog..mine hasn't died since our mob was rooted and he was right next to it.
The dog is really nice for AOE fights because he puts the ward on everyone in your group individually..that's when you'll notice it helping the most in ACT. Also, if you have Litany of Combat, I've noticed my AOE prevention coming up every 3 seconds or so which is really nice.

I am all about the dog in a raid. Only time he dies is when I goof and send him in before the mob has been turned or I get behind to dps.

Also while you can't count on the AE avoid or the Ward..It's doesnt hurt to have from time to time.

Between my dog, my Star of Malice and my fellow OT Group Inquis' Star of Malice, we're constantly avoiding aoe's.

The aoe immunity may not be reliable, but when it procs you certainly notice it. Fights like Tythus are made a hell of a lot easier with it.

Dogdog also does a good portion of direct healing, parsing around 4-8% depending on fight.

I raid and group.
I tested him on Varsoon...and he was crap..he died right away.
I asked in a channel and got the tip to go STA instead..cause of the short range on dogs buffs. And the 1k can save lives. But again I have really only tested the endline now ones...and was on Xebnok an Byzola so far.
THe dog seems to die more often when I group than when I raid.

I don't get how your wolf dies, mine doesn't die much at all. But if he gets in a bad situation then i have attack and retreat on hotbars for quicker access.

I would definately go STR over STA.

Stamina Line is the way to go most of the time, but keep both setups on your respec mirror just in case you feel you need to switch it up for a particular mob or zone. Coagulate is basicly a 1000+HP buff for group, and a 80% casting speed increase on cures is very useful, especially for the slower cast group cure. my bad, does not apply to group cure. Being more likey to block physical attacks with a shield isnt bad either. STR line has advantages, most notably the AoE blocker, but there is no comparison, STA line is far superior. I would rather have 6000 more HP in my group than an extra chance to prevent an AoE that the rest of the raid seems able to deal with. In addition, most raids should already have AoE blocker classes like Wardens and Troubs, and/or someone who knows how to work ACT and calls the timers on the "oh wow" AoEs to joust or block. I also hotbar the Star of Malice, and just click it incase we get into a fight with constant AoEs.

the cure haste does not apply to group cure, as far as I recall, being out of game and too lazy to look it up
