First of all, let me say I do not believe there is one healer class that can out heal any other heal class in a raid. Depending on the fight, it might be your OT healers on top of the heal parse, or maybe the mage group healer, etc... But for some reason when I interact with the charming people in the Defiler forums on EQ2flames there are a few egomaniacs that come out of the woodwork who believe Defilers out heal Mystics hands down, and we should all just stfu since we don't know anything about how to really heal in a raid. I find this attitude a little annoying since I am a Mystic, but unfortunately it is a common attitude among some Defilers over there, and I was curious if most Mystics beileve this as well.

Honestly, I have outhealed many Defilers, and they have also out healed me, so I don't think that proves either one is better at healing, I think the proof of a good healer is someone who can adapt and pay attention enough to play as a team and get your raid through the content. So it doesn't matter if you are a Mystic, or Defiler, or a Templar, it is the player that drives the toon, not the toon that drives the player. If the raid works together well enough, heal parses might actually be less intense since agro is controlled and debuffs are happening, so it is difficult for me to believe some of the Mystic bashing I hear from time to time.

I was curious what you all thought?

Templar is the best healer hands down.

Mystic and defiler are fairly balanced, though mystics are better suited for this expansion.

Mystics are better because we can bolster (self) + bear form. Then you sit on players and they disappear.

Oh it's not a big deal, it just irritated me when Lynnea said, "...Betray to a real healer" and Wonsokman said he would make me look like a Warden, implying Defilers are uber compared to Mystics...

I think a lot of defilers are afraid they're losing their raid spot so they hate all other healer classes
