I am sure you will do fine, he's not that hard as long as you maintain the debuffs on him.Don't be in a hurry to kill him when you try him,take your time,preserve your mana,mostly autoattack ( for the first time anyway) so you can feel comfortable with the encounter and watch for that enrage he gets when he is in the red.

Not sure about others, but I tend to use Malice and wait for it to proc, then click shield in, use shield bash then swap Malice back in.

I may actually revisit AA setup though, currently bit of a hybrid.

don't think that is true unfortunately - atm I think a reasonably-geared temp in dps gear and in a dps group will outparse a reasonably-geared dps mystic in a dps grp on Palace trash. Temp can do 8k+ - I don't really break 5k

I guess this is because most of our dps is auto-attack then CAs whilst the temp is a caster - there seem to be more more caster and healer wearable items that proc off spells.

No contest in normal grps or heal gear though

Didn't we have someone post a parse of doing 10k on palace trash just last week? I think it was in russian but he definitely was getting damage from more places than just auto attack and CA's.

I play both classes, and Templar DPS is terrible, and if you want "Good" DPS for a templar you need to wear some interesting gear selections and spec odd with your AA also, Mystic can keep full heal power and still do good DPS.

Well the main tree that usually mystics have differences would be the shaman tree.
My suggestion would be to try different specs while you go along and see what fits you best, i am sure that if i post an AA suggestion of what the best AA spec would be that there will be at least 10 more mystics that will suggest something totally or slightly different and everyone of them including myself will always believe that our spec is the best just because it fits us

i struggle with the class it seems however my gear is crappy. I take it once i get myth and a few other items claymore perhaps re2 earing star of mlaice etc it all becomes easier..

My biggest problem is if i'm warding the tank and suddenly two other members start to take dmg off say an ae like last mob in Deep forge i then need to fit in a heal for them or use grp heal then back to grp ward which takes a long time to cast.

By that time the tanks taken significant dmg and i kind stuggle there and i wish i'd just kept him up and let the other two die. /sigh.

ANyhow's like i said i've literally just got to lvl 80 so i'm sure its a gear issue, however i keep being tempted to play fury just for the amount of grp heals they have.
