Re: New 80mystic needs some help and advice!
Point of clarification, Heal crit is very important. I was stating if you are raid geared you dont need the 16ish%(whatever it is) of heal crit from the AGI line to hit 105+%.
Also, The dog from STR proc's it's ward quite often and if your group has a lot of melee it enhances their DPS significantly.
Unlike most other classes, there are multiple AA builds using 4 of our 5 choices in the KoS tree. It really depends on which group you are in and what your playstyle is.

Hmm, is it me or does that heal parse screeny finally prove how utterly balls the cure line is - 0% all round, yay!!
Could do with knowing your setup, really.

Re: New 80mystic needs some help and advice!
Kindred Restoration triggers when the group ward falls from absorbed damage or when it expires from duration. It will not trigger if you just overwrite an existing ward. But, its description makes it seem like it should parse higher than it actually does.
AOE damage is applied in a specific order based on when people join a raid. Healing against an ally is taken from a stack of heals in the order in which those were cast on that player. But, very often one person in your group will consume the group ward before damage or healing has been processed for the others, causing Kindred Restoration to trigger when the others are still at full health. And if that person still has another ward in the stack to be processed (which means damage will not yet be applied and this person is still at full health) it will trigger when the entire group is at full health which is why it appears to rarely trigger at all. Now if only they would put a delay on when it triggers, like with the Inquisitor Aftershock...
Despite its inefficiency, I still put 5 points into it because those tough situations when it actually does trigger it makes a difference.

I'm a big fan of Kindred Restoration as well. Would recommend it as one of the first picks once that line is open to you.

Re: New 80mystic needs some help and advice!
Funny thing happened in SoH. I got the curse and canceled the group ward i was mid cast on.
Red message saying I did the damage showed up, even though I canceled, but didn't see any damage done.
Could it be counting Kindred Restoration for some reason? No big deal, just weird.

Re: New 80mystic needs some help and advice!
Actually Wiz, i think shes pretty accurate, you gotta remember (now that your a mystic :-) ) your Debuffs dont show up in the parse. It also doesnt show up in the parse if YOUR group wasnt hurt much/at all by AOE's and the like (thereby keeping your group wards from soaking up stuff, keeping your procs from being able to heal people in group etc) and thereby stiffling your ability to rise on the heal parse. It also doesnt reflect your cures and how much curing you had to do in relation to other things.
(edit note, this shit i added after the fact, spelling errors left in because i'm too gangsta to spell check).
So to simply say that its 99.9% accurate isnt exactly true, i think she was more saying that the parse doesnt mean everything, because it doesnt reflect all of your gear (procs it will, but not 'other things' like crit and heal mod) and the numbers dont even necessarily tell if YOUR wards are being overwritten (well it 'sort of' does, because you can see who was warded by who but it wont say that it was overwritten).

yeah, seriously, our debuffs reduce the amount you need to heal SIGNIFICANTLY. I haven't run any numbers yet, but its enough to actually notice (and completely obliterate your heal parse) I'll see if I can come up with any numbers soonish to emphasize the importance

Re: New 80mystic needs some help and advice!
hehe, fellas you misunderstand my comment I think.
The heal parse is complete fact, it's raw data and can't be 'subjective' (i.e. someone's opinion). HOW you use the heal parse to determine the quality of a healer is absolutely subjective, but the heal parse itself is not.
I'm not questioning the value of mystics, believe me.

Bull honkey. Having a bigger number on the heal parse doesn't mean you're a better healer. Having a bigger number on a DPS parse does. Heal parse has way way way too many variables to make it a completely "factual" evidence of how well someone heals.
