I'm a noob mystic too, and I hope you don't mind me adding to your question. Can I get some casting orders or at least priorities? I was in MT group in WOE the other night, and was outparsed by both templars. Obviously I bring the suck and don't have a clue what I'm supposed to be doing.

Edit err, didn't see a couple of people had already answered my question a few days ago.

just mostly keep wards up at all times and use stoisism as much as u can. also when your group takes ae damage make sure to get your group heal off as fast as possable just those 3 things will keep u in the top 3 of almost every parse.

Basically, if your raid force is successful and beating your targets, no one should give a shit about the heal parse unless a) someone is seriously slacking (noticeable without parse, your tank will be horizontal) or b) one of your healers enjoys e-peen contests.

Having said that, it should not be hard as a MT mystic to top the parse, unless you are undergeared and up against a myth'd rival.

I presume your UI tells you the values of your wards - this makes it easier to time when they need refreshing. Always try to keep a ward up and working, even if it's just stoicism or the hateshield. Pre-buff the tank with group/single wards, bolster, stoi and then recycle as necessary.

As a priority get some saveage healing gear and auto-attack every fight, and don't diss the dog's ward either - if he can live through AE, it can be a useful contribution.

Keeping track of how much ward is left is another question. Am I the only one getting so many buffs during combat that the wards scroll off the bar?

Fucking 30 spell limit on those things has always pissed me off.

Not EVERY fight.... many of them yes, but there are certainly fights that you do not want to risk the reactive procs from the mob (nameds mostly of course)

Not sure what UI you use, but there is one box for buffs on you, and one box for buffs/debuffs you cast. It's in the latter that your wards appear - my Fetish UI kindly tells me what the spell is, who is the target, and how much ward is remaining, handy for when the REH procs 3 times and you need to know whether it's on the main tank or the squishies...
