the ae avoid is shorter than the other effects in duration, like 6 seconds or so (similar to the pet ae blocker) and is attached to a ward component so it will dissappear if you take unwarded damage.
there is a 10% threat reduction buff that lasts the full time and is also attached to a small ward iirc.
additionally there are two regens for 15 secs. a large slow ticking one and a small fast ticking one. All of these effects are short range from the angels themselves (about 10m or maybe 15 at most) and dont move once up unless the mob moves!
I personally love the star of malice in combination with the strength line and combat mastery + dirge accuracy. You can keep two scouts and your self in on every ae pretty much perma by cycling single wards to take the occasional one that gets through!
