What are you all using for adornments? I'm getting very confused. Even with one clear path to take (like I have on my Illu main) adornments can feel like assembling a puzzle with 3 extra pieces. For my Mystic (alt) it feels like two puzzles

I use one set of armor for both healing and dps-ing they contain heal adornments.

The trick to dps lies in your choice of jewelry/weapon. so i have one healing jeweler set with all healing adornments like power/wisdom/heal crit/+heal and one set of "dps" jewelery adorned with +dps, str intel

on vampires i tend to equip the league set adorned with str / intel

T* stuff for me is a little different, so you guys are going to have to take my advice based on the logic I used to put it together.

My Shaman spec is basically 4-4-6-8-1 STR, 4-4-8-6-1 AGI, and like 4-4-7-6 Sta (I figured cures can add extra wards, though it's a big gimpy). My Mystic line is full CA, enough buff stuff to get to Ancestry, and (eventually) I'll be enough down the cures line to get the immunity. Rez's don't interest me because if folks are dying in droves, yer AA ain't savin' them.

When looking at gear for healing, I look for only a few things. Power regen isn't one of them, because if you don't have in your Raid, you're wasting someone's class. I go for +heal first. The way I figured it, you won't hit your heal cap until you're at about 1k in +heal. Your smallest heal is close to that, and the bigger your wards, the bigger your crits, and the more effect that things like Coercive heal have for you. Next, I'm going for Wisdom, then power. The rest is kind of bonus, but honestly, when you're looking at pure healing, you want to have a big punch for heals, a big power pool, and decent resists. You shouldn't really be HITTING when you're healing, at least not as your primary job, and you shouldn't be getting hit.

For DPS gear, I'm looking primarily for +CA or +DPS. You self buff haste through your pet, and honestly, past a certain point, you're not doing anyone any good with it. If you have to interrupt your swings with a debuff or a ward, it's good to have a decent cycle on it rather than short-cycle, because it means when you hit, you're hitting harder. Str you can self-buff for the most part, and it's not THAT hard to get it up into the 800's-900's. With that in mind, my gear recommendations:

Legendary Heal:

You really can't go wrong with the Enigmatic Sacrifice set. At 3 pieces, you're at something like +75 free heal. The chest is +50 heal. One piece or another is like +2 heal crit. The full set gives you a free 250pt group ward for free (like the pet) on hostile spell. Your debuffs are considered hostile, and if you're not casting them during a fight, you're hurting your raid.

I don't have my toon in front of me, so names suck, but there's a +45 heal shield out of CoA that's pretty decent. It's legendary. The quest reward out of Anaphalaxis (Maidens/Vaults) is +35 heal and decent enough if you don't have your epic.

Jewelry:
+35 heal earring out of Chels (Blessed loop of Exhaltation)
Yha-Lei bone hoops (No +heal, but good anyways)
+40 or so heal secondary from quests out of KP (Censer of the Shamachanic)
+45 Heal Razorfang Ring of Bite
Inexorable Bangle (+Power to group when healing)
Netherous Power Channeling Bracelet (+beneficial cast time)

Cloak:
Flowing Cloak of Law (+15 heal) plus some other goodies.

Belt:
Resplendent Sash (+35 heal)

Fabled:

I won't have time right now to go through EVERYTHING for heal, but skip the level 78 set for healing. It's ok, but the set bonuses won't be helping you, so itemize, or wait until you can get the level 80 set.

Legendary DPS

Buy the Rilisian Chainmail, and then start piecing out stuff with more +CA on it, or +DPS. +haste stuff is ok, but the majority of YOUR dps won't be from Autoattack, because YOU'RE not dualwielding.

Fabled DPS:

Gotta look it up again. Sorry, not in front of my home computer, so I don't have all my wishes in front of me either.

Dunno if it's a good list, or if anyone's going to hate on me, but it's a start. I'll edit it and update it when I have more info in front of me and time to post.

Not sure I agree with some of the points here. Firstly the comments about haste not being as valuable, the dog will give you 10-16%, until you are at 100% haste the diminishing returns cap doesnt kick in. It also depends on what weapon you are using, 2handed spear over a single weapon with buckler (giving up DA if you have gown down that line)

I personally use both MC rings which give us a nice DPS/Haste boost along with a MC haste Cloak, which works for me.

I have to agree that it is a bad idea to disregard haste, there are *plenty* of long delay weapons that work both ideally with our Crits and allowing us to still cast between. Now if you're talking about picking +1 attack speed up vs. 50 CA or whatever else, then I agree, its not a good idea. There's no reason not to devote one gear slot to a 25-30 haste item when you're DPSing. Keep in mind while hasted you're swinging faster, so you're proccing more (mmm Bear Claws).

The double attack in the stamina line will work regardless of whether or not you have a shield equipped.
