Most likely you have 1.365 crit mod, not 1.73. ((1.73 - 1) /2) +1 = 1.365. Plus, Heal Crit is only a very small aspect of the total spectrum of sources of HPS. Heal Crit and Crit Bonus help, but depending on how far along you are on the diminishing returns curve, casting haste is better usually.
Erudite looks best so far.

If you read my post, you'd see it say 15%. Didn't think i needed to go into the differences for wards and heals.
Ofc, finding the right balance is important, i'm certainly not discounting the benefit of haste and reuse, my post was just a reply to state that the benefits were far from marginal.

Re: Races
Who the heck knows at this point. Asslick stated that he was going to be changing the racial stuff. He did say that they were going to preserve the orientation of each class (some more sutied to warrior, some caster etc) but these things are going to change none the less so what looks like a good choice today (say dark elf which are seen as scout oriented) may not be a good choice when the push goes live. Sorry dark elves will always be one of the best choices for just about everything, Asslick plays one, but it could apply to other classes.
I do think the potions will be based on what starting city your class has access to so if you live in Qeynos of course you are limited to the races that can start there. Then again, since its station cash buyable, they may say "hey lets give people a way to get around those PIA betrayal quests, we'll make bank."

Re: Races
Ogre is the best race for any class, period. More HP = More survivability. Stun Immunity castable while Stunned = win.

Re: Races
type /survey in game. The last few questions deal with this and one of them is asking whether we should be limited by our alignment. Just saying its nowhere near a foregone conclusion that we will be. I mean unless you read something about it recently on the dev tracker or something.

Re: Races
Now that it's known that the race change can be to any race (no restrictions, other than having 25 bucks), any further thoughts?

Re: Races
Personally I think Halfling is the way to go. + Str, +Wis, +2 DA, +5 ministration, 2% benevolent alactrity, 4% mana, 2% health, increased food and drink durations, pick pocket and track are pretty win IMO.
Wood Elf isn't bad either with most of the same bonuses, just replace the food duration increase and pick pockets with 5% runspeed and shortening of root, shrub and wood harvesting.
High Elf is also very good if you aren't looking for much combat ability with + Int and Wis, +5 Ministration and Defense, + spell and heal amount, 2% cast haste, increased drink duration, 3% more mana, increased in-combat power regen and CotT-like ability usable once every 12 hours.
Dwarf and Barbarian aren't bad either but I would rate the other 3 above them.

Re: Races
If you're a casual player then it won't make any difference to you, pick whatever furry foot or wood elf ass you want to look at it and move on.
If you even noticed the game has harvesting skill ups or drink/food durations then I don't know what to say to you... God Bless you and your kind.
For Mystics, assuming you intend to dominantly heal with your healer:
Dominant Choices
Erudite: 2% casting speed, level based + heal, max power 3%, +5 in-combat power regen
High Elf: 2% casting speed, level based + heal, max power 3%, + 5 in-combat power regen
Decent Choices
Barbarian: 2% casting speed, Stun immunity, 3% max power, 3% max health, bonus to physical mit
Dark Elf: 2% casting speed, 4% max power, 2% max health
Dwarf: 2% casting speed, 3% max power, 3% max health, bonus to physical mit
Fae: 2% casting speed, max power 4%, max health 2%
Froglok: 2% casting speed, max power 3%, max health 3%
Halfling: 2% casting speed, max power 4%, max health 2%
Ogre: 2% casting speed, temp stun immunity, max power 3%, max health 3%, bonus to physical mit
Sarnak: 2% casting speed, max power 3%, max health 3%, bonus to physical mit
Troll: 2% casting speed, max power 3%, max health 3%, temp fear immunity, bonus to physical mit
Wood Elf: 2% casting speed, max power 4%, max health 2%

Re: Races
I was particularly curious to see how ppl rated Barbarian, which has that stun immunity as a trade off for the heal mod and in-combat power regen as compared to eruride, which i'd been thinking about. (My other healer is an erudite.) I guess Ogre has it too.
So I guess you don't rate the anti stun as worth giving up what erudite/high elf give. That's really the question I have. Generally, how's that anti stun in terms of utility -- what do ppl think who have had it?

Re: Races
Barbarian anti-stun is a 10 second duration and CANNOT BE USED WHEN STUNNED. So it is of very limited use. It is unclear if this is intended or in fact a bug.

Re: Races
I can see the appeal of the anti-stun, but between all the power proc items and mythic clicky I fail to see how you would get much benefit from the power regen since you should be at or near 100% power anyway.
So really the question comes down to anti-stun vs +heal bonus by level. How much of a bonus does it give at 80?
