And checking out the vendors in MoY......There is no dps set for Mystics that we can get from shard turn ins / crafting?

Looks like everything from the shard merchants is class specific, so I can't use the chain that was itemized for Rogues for example. I recently made a Mystic, and I love the idea of being dps,heals,buffs and debuffs for the party. But it's a little daunting to seemingly have no options other than healer gear when it comes to shards.

Am I just missing something? =/

Each armor type has one set that is non-class specific. Not sure what the chain set is but Mystics can use it as a DPS/solo set (it has STR and STA)

I was more focusing on the fact that the procs and set bonuses on all that is for heals. But I suppose beggars can't be choosers.

I really want to play this toon, but I don't want to have to go through a bunch of nonsense just to get gear for him, don't have the play time I used to and haven't played this game in two years. Just don't want to have to rely on praying for specific bosses to drop specific gear for a dps setup when everyone else can just hit the shard vendor.

Meh.

Most gear for Mystics is going to be in heal spec and most chain armor that is DPS based is going to be scout focused stuff, but it's not rare for chain to have mystic and defiler on it as well. Make sure you look into AAs that give you CA version of your spells and look at these boards and others (like the official ones) for stuff on soloing and battlepreists as you're leveling. Those will give you the best balanced specs that wont be all healing.

You'll want the soul lancer stuff for dps

Soul lancer set is for chain wearer's including mystics. It upgrades to the Molton Eidolon set from T3 and will give you a great battle priest setup with savage healing procs, haste, base damage, and more. Also our T4 helm, bracers, and boots all have savage healing procs and those are easily attainable patterns that you can use for a melee spec.

Yeah, I don't know what vendors he was checking out where he missed the soul lancer stuff. I was pissed that I couldn't use my molten eidolon stuff on my assassin.

The WOE upgrade to the Soul Lancer set is actually very good DPS / Solo armor. Elemental Conquerors molds I believe.
