Mystic DPS - Page 2

ok while i consider myself a good mystic, thats mostly the 'defensive' side of things...my offense is downright offensive. You guys are beating my brains out when i try to DPS with my mystic (antarafein) ... so i have a couple questions, and i would rather not clutter things with another topic on Mystic DPS.

1) What is a good, easily obtainable weap for a mystic? (By that i mean KoS or even EoF up till like FTH, my mystics an alt so theres prolly a list of people ahead of me who will bid the farm dkp wise to get the hammer and other cool stuff from mmis or eh, and we still havent finished either).

2) Is the DPS mostly from weapon/autoattack and procs, or like 1/3rd that, 1/3rd spells, 1/3 dog or whats the uh formula.

Since i never raid with anything other than my Zerk or occasionally the Mystic i wanna learn to be better/more versitile with my mystic. I also try to get as best stuff for em as possible but i know his jewelery blows compared to most.

Vraksakin claw club, its truly amazing. If not, the serpentine skewer/buckler of the howler is as good if not slightly better. Also, if you get a dirge (I have gotten one in my entire raid existence) the faster delay is nice for CoB. From my experience, dog does a whole 20 or so DPS, auto atk is around 200-250~ (this is with a horrible group, btw) and CA and procs are the rest which are around the same as auto atk. In a good group, those number are EASILY, doubled. Also, get the str and agi imbued ring (MC'd) and the agi collection KoS earring, it will help. I never got a chance to switch in weapons for AA moves, so next update should be nice. Just some tips

Your dog only does 20 or so DPS? What level are you? At lvl 41, mine does 20-50 depending, mostly I think, on how fast i send him in. I assumed that would scale up with level. Does it not?

I have an assassin, and I wish I could do some of the numbers I've seen thrown around on the mystic boards. Not so much the ones you submitted, but I've seen people bragging about zonewides that made me drool (and run off to respec the mystic for dps).

But, my name isn't snacky. So, you weren't talking about me.

/shrug, Honestly, I would have to test giving my dog a different name, and keep in mind I don't use the AA attacks for the dog.

We can do pretty decent zonewides, at times i have to fill my healer role, healing is like loosing 800dps per encounter so it takes the zonewides down by far. If you have two mystics and one can do pretty much the entire zone dps should be between 1600- 2k dps

Lots of this will be fixed tommorow when we get GU36 (euros erver)

80% melee crits instead of 100% with the right gear/buffs we'll be around 91% on "normal" mobs 93% on vampires. also something about double attacks and critting on them irc.

We'll see where we end up in the dps charts.

oww and the snacky comment is for splitpaw server only ;)

I could have sworn I had read somewhere that they reverted that back to 12.5% per rank, so we will still get 100% when maxed. /shrug

we are 100% crits, they did change this back and it is 100% now that lu36 is live. Thinks I''ll use my 1st respec to try 100% dps but will bully the guild defilers to take all the sucky heal lines as they insist that is their 'God given' right to be in MT group
